The channel aimed to document the lives of the parents along with their six children; Shari, Chad, Abby, Julie, Russell and Eve. Over time the channel gained popularity with 2.3 million subscribers.
Like YouTube family channels, 8 Passengers primarily centered around Ruby and Kevin Frankes approach to parenting as well as their children's upbringing and discipline in Utah. The parents, who are part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints also shared insights into their children's homeschooling journey.

As of Thursday the YouTube channel was not accessible. YouTube has not yet responded to a request for comment regarding the removal and the reasons behind it. Forbes previously reported that the channel had been taken down this year.

Shari Franke, who is the child, among the Frankes posted an Instagram Story on Wednesday evening mentioning that it had been quite a day."We are really relieved that justice is being served " mentioned the article. "We have been continuously reaching out to the police and CPS for a time trying to make them understand the situation. It's such a relief that they have finally taken action."

Elle Mechem, Julie Griffiths Deru and Bonnie Hoellein, three women claiming to be Ruby Frankes sisters and also known as family influencers recently posted together on Instagram expressing their belief that her arrest was necessary."In the 3 years we have chosen to stay silent regarding our sister Ruby Franke for the well being of her children " the post stated. "Behind doors we have made every effort to ensure the safety of the kids."
