'One Piece' much anticipated than GoT

Netflix has revealed the budget for its impending live action series, ‘One Piece’ on Monday, 27th August 2023. Fans were excited as they got to know that the budget of each episode of ‘One Piece’ is higher than that of GoT. Netflix Woche, a German site for Netflix has also confirmed this news as fans were contemplating it on social media.
 
Each episode of the action series is budgeted around $17 million; hence fans are eagerly waiting for its premier to know what the hype is actually about. According to recent news shared by German Netflix, each episode of ‘One piece’ is more expensive than the disparagingly admired HBO series Games of Thrones. One episode of Games of Thrones cost around $14 million as compared to this action series which has a budget of $17 million per episode.

Budget higher than GoT

Netflixwoche did not clarify whether $17 million is the budget of a complete season or just one episode. According to reports the whole budget of the season would be approximately $90 having six episodes each season.
 
According to this, many think that publications are talking about episode 8 of Games of thrones and comparing its budget with one episode of ‘one piece’ and not the whole season. We all know that GoT’s episode 8 had a really high budget and it was the costliest episode of the season but if the budget is about the whole series and not just one episode then it’s really low.

Premier and final trailer coming soon

The ‘One Piece’ live action series’ premier will be released on Netflix on 31st August 2023. Although this is not an official statement given by Netflix but fans know this fact that Netflix usually unveils its original content at 12 am Pacific time.
 
Eiichiro Oda who is the illustrator and author of the original manga series received mixed reviews about it from its fans but still they are hopeful about the release of the new series. Fans have admired the reviews, trailers, and promotions of the series.

Oda’s commitment with the show

Oda in his letter to his fans has requested them to see the season for once and he hopes that they would be glued to it. The letter was shared with his fans a day before its premiere on Netflix and release of the final trailer. It is anticipated that the final trailer is going to make the fans emotional.
 
He also mentioned in his letter that some fans will comment that a character is missing or few details are not mentioned, but he would love those comments and would enjoy reading the responses. He said that he is proud of his production team and cast of the show as they have given their best and if anyone still complains he would be seen taking his team’s side.
