How many One-Piece episodes are currently available?

Episode 1040 is the most recent episode of One Piece as of this writing. Saturday, November 19, or Sunday, November 20, 2022, is the release date for One Piece Episode 1041. (Depending on your time zone). The new episode will air for the first time on Fuji T.V. in Japan. Already, a preview for the forthcoming episode has been revealed. With 1039 episodes already, Netflix is almost 700 episodes behind, and it appears that the gap will close soon.

When will additional seasons of One Piece be added on Netflix U.S.?

Netflix allows users to stream episodes of the sagas East Blue, Alabasta, and Sky Island. There is a remote possibility that Netflix will acquire the rights to stream the Thriller Bark and Summit War sagas in the not-too-distant future. This is due to the fact that the episode count for the Summit War saga will reach more than 500, which will constitute a significant portion of the total number of English dubbed episodes produced by Funimation. It is highly likely that the live-action adaptation of One Piece that is currently in production at Netflix will be made available on the streaming service before the remaining anime episodes. On this page, you'll find further information on the One Piece live-action show that you can read. There are more episodes of One Piece accessible in other Netflix territories. However, Netflix in the United States has not disclosed any plans to add new seasons of the anime series One Piece in the near future.

One Piece

Japanese mangaka Eiichiro Oda created and draws One Piece. Since July 1997, it has been serialized in Shueisha's shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, with the chapters collected into 104 tank volumes as of November 2022. In this tale, we follow the exploits of Monkey D. Luffy, a young man whose accidental consumption of a Devil Fruit gave him the rubbery qualities of a monkey. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, travel the Grand Line in search of the "One Piece," the ultimate treasure of the late King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger. Since the manga's adaptation into a festival film by Production I.G. and an anime series by Toei Animation that debuted in Japan in 1999, a media franchise has emerged from it. In addition, Toei has produced thirteen television specials and a whopping fourteen animated features. Several companies have created a wide variety of merchandise and media, including trading card games and a plethora of video games. Viz Media licensed the manga for an English language publication in North America and the United Kingdom, and Madman Entertainment licensed it for release in Australia. In 2004, 4Kids Entertainment licensed the anime series for an English dub release in North America. However, they eventually dropped the license and sold the rights to Funimation in 2007.

The plot, art, characters, and humor in One Piece have all been praised by fans. Numerous publications have recognized it as a masterpiece of manga and listed it among the best of all time. The original print runs for several volumes of the manga were the highest for any book in Japan. One Piece holds the record for "the most copies released for the same comic book series by a single creator" in both 2015 and 2022. From 2008 to 2018, it held the title of best-selling manga for a total of eleven years. It is also the only manga to have maintained a continuous initial print run of volumes above 3 million for more than ten years and the only to have sold over 1 million copies of each of its over 100 tanks on volumes. From 2008 onward, every volume of One Piece has debuted at the top of Oricon's weekly comic chart.

One Piece is the best-selling manga series of all time and the best-selling comic series printed in book volume, with more than 516.5 million copies in circulation in 61 countries and regions worldwide as of August 2022. As a media franchise, it is among the most profitable in history.

Synopsis

Humans aren't the only race in One Piece's world; fish men, dwarves, and giants also call that world home. The planet is split in half by two massive oceans that are separated by a massive mountain range called the Red Line. They are further subdivided into the East Blue, North Blue, East Blue, West Blue, and South Blue seas by the Grand Line, a second sea that runs perpendicular to the Red Line. The Grand Line is bounded on either side by the Calm Belts, which are essentially windless and ocean-current-free regions that are equivalent to horse latitudes. These areas are important because that's where the massive sea creatures called sea monarchs have their nests. Thus, the tranquil belts serve as highly effective obstructions to anyone who would otherwise gain access to the Grand Line. However, navy ships affiliated with an international organization called the World Government can employ a sea-prism stone to hide their presence from the sea monarchs, allowing them to pass unimpeded through the quiet belts. All other ships are forced to take a more perilous route at the first confluence of the Grand Line and the Red Line, a canal system known as Reverse Mountain. In order to take this path, they will have to go through a mountain. At its crest, water from all four oceans converges before making its way down a fifth canal into the upper section of the Grand Line. Paradise refers to this section of the Grand Line because it is so different from the rest of the Grand Line. The portion of the Grand Line from the second interchange with the Red Line to its terminus is known as "The New World."

The series stars Monkey D. Luffy, a young man composed entirely of rubber. The young Monkey D. Luffy, who looks up to the mighty pirate Red-Haired Shanks as a boy, sets off from the East Blue Sea in search of the legendary treasure known as the One Piece and proclaims himself King of the Pirates. It chronicles the exploits of one Monkey, D. Luffy. After Roronoa Zoro, a pirate hunter and swordsman is saved by Luffy, the two become fast friends. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, set off together to find the treasure of the same name. Naomi, a money-obsessed thief and navigator; Usopp, a sharpshooter, and a compulsive liar; and Sanji, an amorous yet chivalrous cook, join them on their trip. These three people habitually lie to one another. After obtaining the Going Merry, they find themselves in conflict with some of East Blue's most notorious pirates. Later episodes introduce a variety of new characters, including the anthropomorphic reindeer doctor Tony Chopper, the archaeologist and former assassin Nico Robin, the cyborg shipwright Franky, the skeleton musician and swordsman Brook, and the fish-man helmsman Jimbei, a former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. On their adventures with Luffy and company, these individuals join the cast. A new ship, the Thousand Sunny, is built by Franky for the Straw Hat Pirates when the Going Merry is damaged beyond repair. The pirates and bounty hunters, criminal organizations, revolutionaries, secret agents, and troops of the corrupt World Government are just some of the friends and foes they encounter as they sail the seven seas in search of their aspirations.

Conclusion

One Piece is one of the most well-known anime series ever. On Netflix, just a few One-Piece sagas, including East Blue, Alabasta, Sky Island, and Water Seven, are available to stream. With 1039 episodes currently available, Netflix is about 700 episodes behind, although this gap will shortly close. In the near future, Netflix may purchase the rights to stream the Thriller Bark and Summit War sagas. There are over 693 One Piece episodes with English dubs. The original language is Japanese; however, each episode has English subtitles.

Oda claimed that he originally intended for One Piece to be a five-year series and that the conclusion was already mapped out. Oda discovered that it would take longer than anticipated since he enjoyed the story too much to complete it in the allotted time. In 2016, 19 years after the serialization began, the author stated that the manga had completed 65 percent of the intended tale. In July 2018, on the occasion of One Piece's 21st anniversary, Oda stated that the manga had reached 80% of the plot. However, in January 2019, he stated that One Piece is nearing its end but that it may exceed 100 volumes. According to Oda's August 2019 projections, the manga will conclude between 2024 and 2025. Oda indicated, however, that the conclusion would be what he had originally planned; he is devoted to seeing it through. Oda stated in a Japanese television special that he would be willing to change the conclusion if the fans could foresee it. In the 35th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2020, Shueisha declared that One Piece was "heading toward the approaching final saga." On January 4, 2021, the one-thousandth chapter of One Piece was published. Oda announced in June 2022 that the manga would enter a one-month hiatus to prepare for its 25th anniversary and the beginning of its final saga, which was scheduled to begin with the release of chapter 1054.
