How Soon Can Disney+ Stream 'Avatar: The Way of Water'?

Soon Disney+ may stream Avatar: The Way of Water. The sequel to Avatar is expected to arrive on stream sometime this year, going from the big screen to the online stream. The streamer's previous trends lead to several predictions regarding the release date, although there has yet to be an official announcement.

As the long-awaited follow-up to Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water features Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington, and Zoe Saldana. After the success of its predecessor, the film had been in the works for quite some time, but delays kept delaying its release.

Avatar 2 opened in 2022 with a box office total of $435 million, ranking fourth for the year. But James Cameron's 3-D CGI sequels don't stop there! More films are already in development. It is expected to debut on December 20, 2024, and was shot back-to-back with the second movie.

Although an official date has yet to be announced, Disney+ already has Avatar: The Way of Water linked up on its official website. Avatar: The Way of Water is only available in theaters, but it will soon be available on streaming services.

Despite Disney's statements, it can be assumed that a streaming release date will be announced soon - or that its exclusive theatrical window policy will change. Avatar: The Way of Water will debut on Disney+ on January 30, 2023. Based on the company's September 2021 announcement, all remaining releases will have a 45-day theatrical release.

However, it's possible for Avatar: The Way of Water to hit Disney+ before January 15, 2023! Disney has previously released films to its streamer after granting them an exclusive 30-day window.

Upon its March 28 digital release, Disney and 20th Century have compiled three hours' worth of bonus materials to provide viewers with an inside look at the filmmaking process. Postproduction and the stunts enacted in the film are also explored, along with performance capture and the creation of the undersea world of Pandora.
