Katharine McPhee and her husband, David Foster, returned to the stage last week after the heartbreaking death of their family nanny. Foster recently played the piano to accompany McPhee and her old Waitress co-star Erich Bergen as they sang a duet. They sang the timeless Frankie Valli song "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" while dressed entirely in white.

Video posted by Bergen!

Bergen and McPhee performed as Foster played the piano in a carousel of videos that Bergen uploaded on Instagram on Tuesday. Bergen shared three videos, two of which included the trio performing with others and one featuring Bergen singing next to a group of male vocalists.
Although there was no music in any of the videos, Bergen also shared an Instagram Story of the performance in which he and McPhee could be heard duetting to the well-known Frankie Valli song, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." In a white satin minidress and her new characteristic blonde haircut, McPhee, 39, grinned as she performed with her husband and fellow performer, 73.

Bergen captioned his carousel!

It seems right to sing Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons songs in Italy. "So lovely to perform with my friends @davidfoster @katharinefoster and @thelondonessentials," Bergen wrote as the description for his carousel.

The concert, which all three of them dressed in white, seemed to be for an occasion in Italy because Bergen's post identified the venue as Villa Rufolo, a villa in the southern Italian town of Ravello. Foster and McPhee appeared to have been singing for the first time since the American Idol alum said on August 11 that they had faced a "horrible tragedy" in their family.
At the time, McPhee announced on Instagram that she would miss the couple's last performances in Jakarta, Indonesia, so she could return home to cope with the "tragedy." "Dearest Jakarta fans," she wrote. I regretfully have to cancel the last two performances of our Asia tour. Our family has experienced a tragedy, and at least one of David and I needs to return home.

The sudden death of the nanny!

Before concluding her letter with "Love, Katharine," the former American Idol finalist said, "Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all." Shortly after she made her statement, reports said her decision to cancel the tour was related to the unexpected death of Rennie David, the 2-year-old son she and Foster's babysitter.
The pair will resume their tour on November 1 at the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren, Michigan. Following their performances in Jakarta, Foster and McPhee had initially intended to take a three-month vacation from touring. Foster continued with the tour's last two shows, slated to take place in Jakarta's Sentul International Convention Center.
