Early Life!

Dunham was born in Dallas, Texas. He was adopted at three months old by real estate appraiser Howard Dunham and his wife Joyce, a homemaker. In 1970, he began ventriloquism at eight. For Christmas, his parents gave him a Mortimer Snerd dummy and accompanied the how-to album. He wanted to be the best Ventriloquist, and he started practicing in front of a mirror, studying the routines of Edgar Bergen. As a child, he enjoyed being alone. Dunham graduated from Richardson High School. He got enrolled at Baylor University, where he studied communications. 


Career!

As a teenager, Dunham began his career performing for audiences. 

In middle school, Dunham performed for banquets attended by local celebrities such as Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach where he developed his style of lampooning using puppets. 

In 1980, after graduating from high school, he achieved a career goal of obtaining a bright appearance on The Tonight Show, Starring Johnny Carson, within ten years. 

Dunham attends Baylor University, hoping to graduate with a degree in the field of communication. He spends his weekends doing more than 100 private shows a year, entertaining customers such as General Electric, whose CEO Jack Welch mocked during his routine. 

In 1985, he caught a break and asked to join the Broadway how Sugar babies are with Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller replacing an outgoing variety act. 

In 1986, after graduating from Baylor University, Dunham continued his act in comedy clubs in the Southwest with new exciting characters. 

By the end of 1988, his career had gone so far as it could go in Texas. He moved to Los Angeles, California. 

In 2003, he made his first solo appearance on the Comedy Central TV network, on the show 'Comedy Central Presents' in a half-hour piece. 

Dunham decided to produce his comedy DVD, and with his finances, he produced his comedy DVD 'Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself. 

In 2006, Comedy Central aired his comedy, and it turned out to be a huge success, attracting more than two million viewers. 

His next success was 'Spark of Insanity, which was released the next year. It attracted more than 140 million hits on YouTube. 

In 2008, he released 'A Very Special Christmas Special', a huge success. 

In 2009, he signed a deal with Comedy Central after working on his TV series 'The Jeff Dunham Show.

Dunham married Audrey Murdick in 2012, a nutritionist and a physical trainer. Three years after their marriage, Audrey gave birth to James Jeffrey and Jack Steven twins.
