Did Lizzo’s lawsuit make Beyonce drop her name at BMS remix?
Beyonce skipped Lizzo’s name at a concert in Boston during a performance of Break My Soul (Queens remix). This comes days after Lizzo was featured in a lawsuit for sexual harassment and hostile working environment by her three dancers. Several comments appeared on social media after fans realized that Beyonce had skipped Lizzo's name.
In several videos that appeared on twitter, it was quick to notice that the pop star had left out Lizzo’s name severally and appeared to pick Erykah Badu’s name four times, irregardless of Lizzo’s name flashing up on the screen.
The break my soul remix features a moment where Beyonce rattles off a list of black women artists who appear as trailblazers. Lizzo, whose name normally appears as one of the women on the lyrics, was dropped off at the 3rd version of the song.
The song lyrics where Beyonce calls out Lizzo’s name goes like this: Betty Davis, Solange Knowles; Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl. However, during her performance at Gillette Stadium, Beyonce’s song lyrics were: Betty Davis, Solange Knowles; Badu, Badu, Badu, Badu.
This spiraled a lot of reaction on social media where fans felt that the pop star had caught wind of the lawsuit which was scandalous enough to omit her name. For instance, Lizzo was allegedly accused of coercing her backup dancers to participate in nude shows on top of that, Lizzo is also allegedly accused of body shaming one of the dancers concerning her weight issues.
Lizzo's lawsuit sparked public outrage on social media, fans claiming that her actions were distinct from her public image of strength and body positivity.
Badu and Beyonce Bad blood - It might not be the lawsuit after all
Nonetheless, there appears to be another explanation as to why Beyonce decided to give a shoutout to Badu instead of Lizzo. Badu and Beyonce are not on good terms at the moment. This comes moments after Badu fires shots at Beyonce during her "Renaissance" tour for wearing similar high-top wicked witch-style hats.
Badu posted on her social media page ‘ I guess I am everyone’s stylist…’ clearly suggesting that Beyonce stole her fashion.
Lizzo’s name omission could be Beyonce’s public call out to Badu who seemingly stirred the pot.

Fans Reactions
Fans' speculations towards the omission of Lizzos name were different. Some thought that it had to do with the lawsuit and others thought that it was spiraled by Badu’s accusation of ripping off her style.
A fan tweeted, ‘Beyonce I need the back up story on why she skipped Lizzo’s name.’
Beyonce’s mom on her defense wrote, ‘She also didn’t say her own sister's name yal should really stop.’
Following all the reactions on social media, Beyonce finally included Lizzo’s name, finally burning down the claim that there could be bad blood between the two.
Shutting Down the Claims
Beyonce flipped off the accusations of dropping Lizzo’s name amid her lawsuit accusation. After omitting her name and replacing it with Badu’s name four times, fans were quick to notice that she re-included Lizzo’s name again. This clearly burries all the contreversies that spiraled up a few concerts ago where Beyonce called out Badu’s name four times.
However, it seems that Lizzo is in good books with Beyonce again, since her name got mentioned once again.
