Los Angeles Holy Messengers outfielder Mike Trout experienced a break of the hamate bone in his left hand during Monday's down against the San Diego Padres (SD 10, LA 3), the Holy Messengers reported.

Time for the recovery

In the seventh inning, Trout fouled back Nick Martinez's 0-1 pitch, causing the injury. Trout had surgery on the injury on Wednesday, and manager Phil Nevin said that he expects Trout to miss between four and eight weeks, which is the typical recovery time.

Commitment toward the game

Those imprints might be underneath Trout's powerful standards. However, as per Baseball Reference's computations, his commitments were still worth an expected 2.9 Successes Above Substitution.

The game with the race

The Heavenly messengers entered Wednesday at 45-43, third in the AL West. The Heavenly messengers followed the division-driving Texas Officers by seven games and were four games back in the race for the last AL special case spot.

Opportunity for the game

Losing Trout for a broadening timeframe is an overwhelming catastrophe for the group's postseason trust. Right now, they have an 8.4% opportunity to make the end-of-the-season games, per Sportsline.

Trout under the harmed list

Notwithstanding Trout, the Heavenly messengers are without a few other key donors. Furthermore, José Suarez, Ben Joyce, and Matt Moore remain unavailable.

Substitute to fill Trout's place

Trout was hurt the day after he was picked to play in his 11th All-Star Game of his career. The Angels called up Jo Adell, a former top prospect, to replace Trout on the roster.
