A Refusal To Apologize For A White House Invitation By Angel Reese At LSU

After Dr. Jill Biden said she would invite both LSU and Iowa to celebrate the championship game in person, LSU star Angel Reese and her teammates will not visit the White House anytime soon. In an interview on I Am Athlete with the LSU sophomore, 20, he said, "As a result, I refuse to accept her apology." To do so, you must refrain from repeating things you have said.

A Spotlight From The University

Angel, who won the NCAA tournament Most Outstanding Player award, said, "You thought they should have come because of 'sportsmanship.' The University of Iowa can have that spotlight." "Speak of that; we'll see Michelle Obama and Barack Obama," she joked. The Hawkeyes lost 102-85 to the Cardinals on Sunday, April 2, and the Louisiana State Tigers won their first NCAA championship. At the White House, only the Gamecocks were invited last year.

An Interview With Reese

In her interview, she continued, "The roles would be different if they were reversed." She added, "If we were to lose, we wouldn't be invited to the White House. She said that sportsmanship should be a concern for both teams. She asked, "Are you saying that because of what I did?" I needed clarification. As the game ended, Reese made headlines by taunting Iowa star Caitlin Clark with a sign that indicated she would receive a championship ring shortly.

Further backing up her case, Angel explained, "Stuff like that bothers me." Because you are a woman, it does not matter if you're white, black, or a combination of both. It's hard for me to ignore such things. Despite that, I have a platform where I can speak out, and many people have supported me in this struggle. I feel honored to be in such a situation."

Jill Speaks About The Issue

It was April 3 that Jill spoke at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver, asking for LSU and Iowa to be at the White House and started the issues with Angel, the Tigers, and the first lady. As we always do, we'll bring the champions to the White House. Let us hope LSU comes as well," she said. Angel then quoted ESPN's article and said the offer was "just a joke." He then quoted Iowa and described the game as "awesome."
