Rare Photo Of Michelle Duggar With Nine Daughters Shows Her In Black Leggings

In a post shared to Instagram on Tuesday, April 4, Jessa Seewald shared a photo showing Michelle Duggar in leggings instead of her usual skirt. It was a day filled with smiles as Jessa Duggar, 30; Jana Duggar, 33; Jill Dillard (née Duggar), 31. Joy-Anna Forsyth (née Duggar), 25, Johannah, 17, Jennifer, 15, Jordyn-Grace, 14, and Josie, 13, surrounded her.

As we get older, everyone's life becomes busier, so it is always extra special when we can get all nine sisters + moms together again at once! Jessa captioned the sweet family photo: "Last week was golden." According to the caption on the photo, the group appeared to be at the trendy Onyx Coffee Lab, a popular place with latte art and seasonal drinks like Honey Lavender Latte located in Arkansas, where the Duggar family lives. 

Adding a sporty jacket to the leisurely bottoms, Michelle echoed her daughters' vibe while running errands. She paired the bottoms with gray sneakers, perfect for running errands as a busy mom. In addition to leggings, Jessa wore cargo pants as she twinned with her mom, Jill wore maternity jeans, Joy wore maternity jeans, and Jana wore classic skinny black pants. According to Jinger, who previously wrote about skirts in her book, the change is a major step for the whole family, who are devout Christians.

Dress code of the family

In her 2021 memoir, The Hope We Hold, she wrote that her mother always dressed her daughters in skirts and dresses based on Deuteronomy 22:5, which says women shouldn't wear men's clothing. As a family, we considered modesty important, and wearing skirts rather than pants was central to being modest. The sixth child of Michelle and Bob Duggar also said she was interested in discovering what the Bible had to say, noting that modesty was about what one wears and one's position in life.
