The City of Light is said to be the new destination for Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon's love affair. Pitt, 59, surprised director David Fincher with an award at Friday evening's annual César Awards, then joined girlfriend de Ramon at Fouquet's on the Champs-Élysées for the ceremonies after dinner.

According to sources, Pitt and de Ramon arrived individually in France on Thursday evenings; Pitt has been filming in New York City with George Clooney for the upcoming film Wolves. According to sources, Pitt and de Ramon had been dating for a few months before they were spotted together at a Los Angeles concert in November.

His relationship with two women, Emily Ratajkowski and Nicole Poturalski has been in the spotlight since he divorced Angelina Jolie in 2016. The couple quietly separated after three years of marriage in May 2022, after Ramon filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley. A mutual friend introduced her to Pitt.

As part of the César Awards held at the historic L'Olympia music hall, 2,000 members of the French film academy attended. Fincher, 60, received an honorary César and sat in the front row before Juliette Binoche and Monica Bellucci, both French film stars.

The actress Virginie Efira began her tribute after a lengthy montage playing examples of Fincher's work, including Zodiac and The Social Network. "When your films break the code, they confront demons. Thank you, Mr Fincher," she said. After the applause ended and Fincher began to get up from the stage, Efira, 45, stopped him and explained that his "partner in crime accompanied him."

Then Pitt walked onstage, telling the crowd, "Yes, I was in three David Fincher films. I'm Brad Pitt, and I'm a survivor." Pitt has appeared in films such as Se7en, Fight Club and Benjamin Button. The actor outlined what audiences might hear on Fincher's sets, suggesting the director's phrase of choice was: "Let's shoot this thing before we lose our minds."

Everyone will tell you Fincher's movies are worth it. Some say he is a perfectionist, and that's true too. It's the truth. He was pleased to be caught in this trap, and Pitt was delighted to be a part of such a flattering tribute. In his speech to Fincher, Pitt called him "one of the toughest guys in the room" and "the hilarious person I've ever met."
