BTS Wins 2023 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, Breaking Guinness Record

Although the South Korean boyband BTS is on hiatus, they keep breaking records. Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards gave BTS a big win on March 4. The K-pop group won the Favorite Music Group award on March 4 in Los Angeles. A Guinness World Record for "the most Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards won by a music group" has been achieved by BTS for the fourth consecutive year, and their seventh overall award is their seventh overall award from the Kids' Choice Awards.

As part of the Favorite Music Group category, they were nominated alongside 5 Seconds of Summer, Black Eyed Peas, BLACKPINK, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Panic! At the Disco, and Paramore. This year, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles won the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. In addition to being a favourite female artist and album, Swift won for the favourite album, Styles for favourite global star and favourite song, and "As It Was" won.

Few more awards to cherish

The best celebrity pet award was also given to Swift's cat Olivia Benson. A new artist named Dove Cameron received the breakout artist award, a social music star was Bella Poarch, and a musical collaboration named Sweetest Pie won music collaboration of the year. Members of BTS have been focusing on their projects since June 2022, which was the last time they reunited as a group. In October, they joined forces again for a concert in Busan. Kim Seokjin is serving his military service, and J-hope is preparing to join the military shortly. Members have released solo albums in the months since the June 10 release of Proof. J-hope released Jack in the Box, RM released Indigo, and now BTS ARMYs await Jimin's album.
