Video of apology to Chris Rock

After posting a video of his apology to Chris Rock last month, the King Richard star made the most recent posting. At the 94th Academy Awards in March, Smith punched comedian Chris Rock after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head. (The 50-year-old actress has alopecia.)

The best actor Oscar winner endured months of consequences after the Oscars outburst, which included his resignation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a 10-year attendance ban.

In the apologetic video released in late July, Smith said that after privately contacting Rock, he had heard that he was "not ready to talk" but would "reach out" when he was.

Performance at the Fox Theatre

Rock made light of the slap in jokes during his performance at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta a few hours after the video's release, but he omitted to mention Smith's apologies.

Will and Jada made their first public appearance together since the Oscars incident last weekend when they were sighted out in Malibu.

Later, a source informed the media, "Will is in good health. Often with Jada. Her support thrills him. They're tight and supportive. They prioritise family." According to the insider, Will believes he has "learned a lot" during the last few months.

Red Table Talk episode

A second insider said that Will is pleased with the support he constantly receives from Jada.

Since then, Jada has discussed the event in a Red Table Talk episode, saying, "On Oscar night, my sincerest wish is for these two smart, talented men to have the chance to mend their differences, resolve their differences, and reunite. We need them both, and we actually need one another more than ever given the current state of the globe. Until then, Will and I will keep doing what we have been doing for the past 28 years, which is working together to figure out this thing called life."

Before Smith's public apology, a source told PEOPLE that Rock had "moved on" from the event. "Chris is not required to speak. Will is certainly more bothered by this than Chris is, "The insider stated of the couple. "Will must address his problems. Chris is unharmed."
