The web of lies

The more we get into social media, the more we feel it is a web of fake lies and too many people wearing masks. The whole screwing each other up is another reason that many concepts have become annoying in social media.

When social media started back in the time with MySpace.com, it was created to connect people worldwide. But, with time, it has changed as people have become much more hungry and thirsty for attention and power.

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

People around social media think they are invincible behind some virtual accounts, which makes them do things that they aren’t able to do in real life. These people find themselves inevitably hiding behind the virtual world.

Social media makes people think they are powerful dictators who can do whatever they want by remaining invisible.

Too many selfies

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

Like seriously no other job to do, so taking too many selfies. That’s one of the most annoying yet narcissistic things about social media.

Like why take so many selfies and post them without any reason? Is Kim Kardashian handing out dollars to everyone for taking selfies?

People go gaga over selfies without any reason at all. One picture is fine, but too many selfies show the signs of loneliness; rather than the love yourself concept.

Recently, social media sites have become a place of too many selfies and groupies with pouts, filters, and whatnot.

It’s so irritating that sometimes it looks like all the matrimony sites' photos have jumped out of their respective places and added themselves on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

People forget that social media is not a hookup place, so they better stop posting many selfies.

People have no work suppose; that way, they are rampaging around social media with these ridiculous selfies from various angles. Who will take the annoying pain of going through your every selfie unless it’s your girlfriend or boyfriend?

No wonder people are getting so obsessed with themselves that it is becoming irritating that they are trying harder to gain as much attention as possible.

Selfies are one of those sheer examples that people are too obsessed with themselves.

Like no job, nothing, no study, all you are doing is going click, click, and click. That’s it, you are getting some likes, and you think your job is done; Joe Biden’s secretary will call you for a white house meeting.

Trolling people

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

This nasty attitude over social media is so pathetic that it has previously taken people’s lives. Trolling, hating, and creating nasty memes are one of the most disgusting facts about social media.

Why hate anyone whom you don’t even know? Just because you have no one to stop. This trolling is one of the most annoying things people do on social media.

Trolling someone you do not know personally is humiliating and degrading. After reading your ugly comments, you never know what that person must be going through.

Hating someone on social media just because you think that person does not live up to your standard is one of the most pathetic things ever. You cannot control your life, so you go on thrashing other people over social media.

You cannot go on writing anything on social media just because you have freedom of speech. Your words, your phrases might stir sentiments in others which can be socially discomforting.

Trolling people through unknown accounts is one of the most mind-screwing things ever. This thought process will get such horrendous results that people over social media get hurt.

Especially targeting celebrities: it is one of the worst things over social media; whether it is politicians, film stars, or any other television personality, they always get trolled and hated on social media.

Trolling has always been prominent amongst people in social media around the world, which has caused people to call out even against it.

Many public figures have openly talked about haters and trolls affecting their lives and destroying relationships.

The disgusting memes and people hating on a person while on ‘live’ is one of the most below-the-belt hits ever. That is not how anybody should target anybody, as it is a difficult factor for the person on the receiving end.

Body shaming

Everybody has a way of being confident and open, and lively in their skin and body. Calling someone fat or skinny over social media is never good.

Everybody has the right to wear whatever they want; that does not mean you will call that person out for no reason.

Body shaming can lead to the person losing confidence in themselves and even thinking that they are not perfect enough in their shape.

Who is going through what mental issues, we do not know; so suddenly, body-shaming the person might cause emotional trauma to that person.

The world has already become too intolerant to handle more toxicity; keep your toxicity to yourself. The person whom you are body-shaming must be the sexiest person for someone else.

Bulimia is a mental disorder that causes the person to throw up food after eating it - mentioning it here is important because body-shaming can cause the person to get this mental disorder.

But, in the online world, people cannot stop body-shaming a person. Like randomly, you go up to the person and say they are skinny or fat; it is a toxic way of addressing their physique.

The social media world has become much more intolerant than before; there was a time when people used to share love and care with their people. Nowadays, they either share toxic messages or ignore them.

Body shaming is one of the biggest annoying things people do online to others, known, unknown, whoever it is, they go on calling them to either lose weight or gain weight.

Not everybody is Kim Kardashian, who will take the haters on a positive note and start sharing bikini pics of her voluptuous butt. People react and get depressed for no reason when called out on their shape.

Every person has their metabolism rate and way of being all comfy in their figure. Calling them out on social media is like trying to drag their weaknesses out in public.

You are not his boyfriend or girlfriend, and you don’t have to take it personally to let that person know whether they should gain or lose weight.

You are not there to make comments on them; they know what insecurities they have; within themselves. You don’t have to make it look prominent, as it might make them increasingly insecure.

Not all have to be ramp walk models like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid; neither does everyone expect Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner to loiter around you.

So, stop being rude and mean to people over social media, picking up on their figures as it has nothing to do with you. So, don’t poke your nose; if you don’t like a picture, move on and let it pass.

Cryptic status updates

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

The cryptic status updates people throw on social media are one of the most ridiculous things; why are you so hellbent on drawing unnecessary attention?

When you are giving a cryptic message, it has to be for someone who might not be in direct connection with you; so if you are leaving cryptic status updates, it is obvious that people will leave questions and show curiosity.

Now, what are you doing? You are following up with, 'I do not want to talk about it here, or I will DM you and stuff’ - when someone asks if everything is fine with you and what the cryptic message is, you are giving ridiculously evasive answers.

Why give cryptic messages when you cannot even give a direct answer to them? There are various ways to share your feelings with the world, but that doesn’t mean that you will give up cryptic messages for people who might not be in contact with you.

This procedure is annoying, and you cannot get along with it. Like, what are you trying to prove?

You thought of letting the person know through your cryptic messages that you do not care or care too much for that person?

It is one of the most annoying and eye-rolling things people do with others when they put their cryptic messages in front of the public, not trying to explain what they are going through personally.

These people out there are just trying to make sure they can draw as much attention as possible by stirring through some comments, likes, and concerns.

If you want to do that, put up a placard and hold it in front of your house rather than throwing cryptic messages on social media.

The person to whom you want to direct the message might not be interested in knowing what you are doing and what you are not doing!

So, stop ruining the atmosphere of other people on social media by throwing down cryptic messages because it is of no use; there are better things to worry about in your life, so go on with it and start worrying about the other things.

Liking your profile picture

Like why? Why are you that creep he wants to avoid, and you are going on linking their profile picture?

Why do you want to put that thought in his mind that you are that one obsessive ex-girlfriend who can’t get enough of her? Dude! he is over you; no, seriously, get inside your head that he is over you!

So, stop liking his profile picture every time he uploads one. Just because you think you still love him and aren’t over him yet, does not mean you will go on liking their profile like a fixed bot.

Conversely, if you find a stranger liking your profile picture, unfollow or unfriend that person.

It isn’t very pleasant when a person likes your profile picture, and you are not interested. They keep liking your profile photo every time you change it, as Facebook has specifically mentioned that this person likes your pictures.

Known people liking your picture is obvious, but unknown followers keep creepily liking it as if you have hired them to keep on the count of likes.

It is ridiculous that people are trying to enter your house without your permission, and that too forcefully.

So, stop liking the pictures of your exes, or at least don’t let some creepy dude keep on liking your picture unnecessarily.

Profile pictures receiving likes from various people is always a positive factor, but getting weird likes from people who seem devoted to you - sounds and looks awkward.

Better to get rid of these people as they are the ones who are annoying.

Inviting people to play games like Candy Crush and Farmville

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

Yes, right, people have no other job to do rather than playing Candy Crush and Farmville with you.

Like people unnecessarily send Candy Crush and Farmville invitations when you can play it alone or can give it up. People act 14 years old, sending invitations for games to a bunch of friends on Facebook.

Like why? There are various things to do. Why do these people waste time when there is plenty of time to do some constructive work?

But, no! They are only interested in sending Candy Crush and Farmville invitations and filling up other people’s notifications. Now that’s not only annoying but disturbing too.

Not all people want to play with you over Facebook games, and once or twice is fine. Some people go on sending invitations like a reminder, as if without playing, the Earth will explode.

You do not need to knock at strangers' doors to play Candy Crush Saga and Farmville; not all are interested in playing. But some people don’t listen; they go on sending invitations and irritate strangers over silly things.

If you feel so lonely and tired, go for a walk; or a jog rather than disturbing people over social media by sending ridiculous invitations to Candy Crush Saga and Farmville.

Ranting about politics

Who are you? Joe Biden? Vladimir Putin? Kim Jong Un? Then, why are you stressing over political theories on your page?

Some people can’t get enough bitterness and controversy to jump onto social media to keep ranting over their political agenda.

They tag people and try to bring in more and more comments on their take on a particular political matter. Not all are interested to know what your take is about the present political status of the country.

But, no, people will keep poking and tagging others unnecessarily and annoyingly for no reason whatsoever. They will demand their viewpoints on political agenda as if without having certain political views, a particular person cannot live in society, let alone in social media.

Your propaganda, you can keep it up to yourself. Nobody is interested to know; you better go on and follow your political news rather than disturbing others and forcing them to give their opinions.

Some people don’t understand that they will not be the next Mayor or Governor of their territory, the way they rant over politics. As if they will express any frustration in their personal life through ranting over politics.

These people spread more hopelessness on social media than anything else.

Revealing TV show spoilers

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

Why, lord, why? Why can certain people not just see the happiness of others? They keep on spoiling the suspense by spilling it on social media.

Nobody has instructed them to share the spoilers; why do they take the responsibility to jump around from one thread to another, sharing spoilers for no reason?

This gesture is one of the people's most annoying features on social media. Like there is a hit series, people from various corners of the country started sharing spoilers.

Like you know something, keep your trap shut. Nobody has asked you to spill the beans, then why are you wasting the beans by spilling them unnecessarily?

You know something fine; keep it up to yourself; you don’t have to keep spreading the news as if spreading the show’s spoilers is in the public interest issued by the government.

Selling mid-level marketing products

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

This trend has become a new but annoying trend on social media. People go on marketing second-hand products just because they have nothing else to do.

Being a housewife, someone has decided to take second-hand products and sell them online without any guarantee and warranty and put it upfront as if the product can beat even Gucci and Prada in the race.

If your product is so good, then go and open a shop; social media is not a place to sell cheap products like juice and makeup, which have no specific brand authenticity.

People join Facebook to sell products to strangers, and if things go wrong and they do not get the payment, they start rampaging around, claiming everything is a fraud and that fraudery is going on social media.

Social media is a place for connecting with people, not selling products, and getting away with starting a business, which is ridiculous and annoying.

Not all people are interested to know what you are selling and why you are selling it in the first place. So, stop being annoying and stop marketing around your mid-level products, which no one is interested in the first place.

Posting endless pictures of kids

Yeah! Yeah! Fine! Everybody has kids. You are not the first to have kids and will also not be the last on Earth. Our Global population is more than approximately 8 billion, so your kids are not the only center of attraction over social media.

If you have nothing else to do, go off to sleep rather than posting unlimited pictures of your kids. Taking care of your kids might take away all your energy, then how come you get the interest to showcase what you are doing every thirty minutes?

Your kids are not Suri Cruise or Shiloh-Jolie Pitt, and you will post endless pictures of them over a given time.

One, two, or three pictures at a time that’s fine; suddenly, out of the blue, you are adding multiple pictures at a time does not mean your kids will become an overnight sensation.

Moreover, it can be annoying for many people; just because they are kids does not mean everybody has to jump in to put their comments and likes.

Kids are kids, and social media is social media, don’t combine both of them and start obsessing over them.

Overly loving couples with PDA

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

Seriously, these couples should get a room! If they don’t find a room, they can take their lovey-dovey pictures and lovey-dovey comments to their texting or WhatsApp.

But, no, some show-offs want to make people jealous by overly showcasing their feelings over every post they put together.

As if people have no other job to do rather than envying the pathetic conversation of an overly lovey-dovey couple is going through the comments of social media posts.

If the couples truly love, they don’t need to show it off in front of the camera by sending lovey-dovey comments on every post.

These couples are so annoying; they only know whether they will ever be serious in their relationships, but Public Display of Affection is something they would love to do all the time.

These couples have no other job and might be the ones who prefer to give the maximum selfies in the shortest time. As if the world is waiting for them to see what they will post next on social media.

These couples keep showering each other with love words as if they forget that it is a social media and not a personal text message where they can have their go on their romantic interlude.

It won’t be surprising these couples will start sharing their last night's sexual experience over the comments to draw some attention.

Some people don’t know how to stop and keep on exaggerating every partner they make at a time. These people want to show that they are so open that they have nothing to hide.

Either these people are completely crazy, or they are simply faking in the relationship because openly sharing romantic personal comments over social media does not give the vibes of a serious relationship.

Moreover, not everybody is interested in the conversation between these overly lovey-dovey couples; they are not celebrities, and neither are they serious in their relationships.

All these couples do is try to draw as much attention as possible without the possibility of understanding the irritability they are spreading with it.

Yeah! They have nothing to hide and don’t have to turn up every time with a new set of photos and irrelevant comments that are completely superficial.

In the meantime, when the couples post pictures, one of them must be stalking another girl on social media. What Love! What Love!

Gym selfies or updates about being at the gym

Like why? Everybody has to know how much you have toned it just because you are toning your figure.

Are you Dwayne Johnson or Jason Momoa that you have to put up that physic, so you need to share your pictures

You are hitting the gym, good! You want to have abs, good, you want to have a plain torso, good, but that doesn’t mean you have to jump in sharing your Gym selfies.

Not all are interested in knowing how much weight you lifted this morning, nor are they interested in seeing your toned belly. You are not Khloe Kardashian, which is sometimes typically useless and annoying.

You are a fitness freak, so it’s cool, and that’s nice, but that does not sanction you to keep sharing unnecessary gym pictures and all the machines you do now and then.

You have a good figure, keep that up, and do not try to gain annoying attention from people around social media by trying to show that you are doing something productive.

Simply updating too often

The annoying things people do on social media just to draw attention

Nothing to do, so you are doing social media. Like seriously? Why? Just because you are bored doesn’t mean you have to go on updating social media.

Some people update on social media because they want to pass their time.

As for updating something on social media, they update anything they feel like, from uploading updates on drinking water to seeing a flower blossoming to going off to sleep.

The whole thing about unnecessarily updating has no meaning whatsoever, so these people better not annoy others by giving stupid updates online.
