Jennifer Lopez and Derek Hough Are ‘Saddened’ By Co-Star tWitch's Death From ‘World of Dance’

According to the coroner's report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, which Page Six was able to get, Stephen "tWitch" Boss' official cause of death was determined to be a "gunshot wound to the head." The report also affirmed that he committed suicide and that there was no indication of any wrongdoing. Additionally, the report noted that the case had been resolved.

(ORIGINAL STORY): On December 14, pop legend Jennifer Lopez, 53, and her ‘World of Dance’ co-star Derek Hough, 37, posted tributes to the late dancer Stephen "tWitch" Boss on their individual Instagram profiles. Twitch has such a radiant and lovely soul. astonished and incredibly sad. For @sir twitch a lot, his wife, and his kids, my heart hurts. In a group shot with the deceased actor, the "On The Floor" singer wrote, "Sending you love and strength. Twitch, who passed away on Wednesday, had previously played DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and later worked as an executive producer on the popular program.

Derek shared the same photo as JLo in a lengthy message on Instagram to pay tribute to his deceased pal. "During this difficult time, my heart aches for @allisonholker [Allison Holker] and their lovely family. My thoughts are stuck on the lovely friend we all lost," he wrote in his message. "I associate the word twitch with wisdom, love, light, and laughter. He was an inspiration to everyone and made everyone around him happy. This will require some time to properly process. My friend, may you rest in peace. We cherish you.


Also using her show's Instagram account, 64-year-old Ellen DeGeneres sent a homage to tWitch. "My heart is broken. Pure love and light were tWitch. He was my family, and I had nothing but the utmost love for him. In the caption of the picture of them cuddling, the TV celebrity said, "I shall miss him. Please offer your prayers and good vibes to Allison and his adorable kids, Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.

TMZ broke the news of Stephen's passing first, saying that the late actor committed suicide on December 14. In a statement to PEOPLE, his wife Allison, 34, also confirmed the devastating news. She stated, "I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us with the hardest of hearts."

"Stephen brought light into every space he entered. Above all else, he treasured his family, friends, and community. He believed that the best way to lead was to lead with love and light. He was our family's rock, the best husband and father, and an example to his followers. The 34-year-old woman ended her statement with a message for her late spouse and a request for privacy. Allison concluded," Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.

The executive producer, actor, and dancer was born in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1982. At the age of 40, he passed away on December 14, 2022. Allison, who co-starred with Stephen in 2013 on So You Think You Can Dance, is Stephen's surviving spouse. Additionally, the couple welcomed three children: Weslie, 14; Maddox, 6; and Zaia, 3. 

Twitch has already made appearances on a number of popular TV programs, including World of Dance, So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Real Dirty Dancing, and many others.
