Frantic Tripp Performs Cpr On Ava After The Bomb Goes Off

Brady advises Eric that it is best to forget about his conversation with Kristen in the Square. Brady wants his brother to forget it, but Eric refuses. Brady reveals that Kristen manipulated Marlena, Kate, and Kayla's lives to blackmail him. Eric promises not to tell anyone and promises that they will continue to find a way to protect Brady and the people he loves.

As they talk at home, John tries to get Kristen to discuss what's troubling her conscience, and she tells him her only concern is being a loving and caring mother. Her main concern is to make Rachel feel loved and safe. She remarks on how kind John is. He says he's always available for her whenever she needs him. Kristen thanks him and leaves for Rachel's house.

Efforts are being made to nail EJ

• As a result of his conversation with Kristen, John calls Marlena again and tells her that he knows she's hiding something and is determined to uncover it. 
• During their drinking session at the pub, Steve inquires whether Rafe has made any progress in nabbing EJ for kidnapping Tripp.
• She believes Tripp came to Salem to confront EJ, so she calls Steve to tell him he flew there. Rafe says he hasn't but assures him he wants to nail EJ as much as Steve does.

The first to rise after the explosion

• Tripp is the first one to stir after the bomb goes off in the church, followed by EJ, who yells out for John Roman as he lies motionless under debris.
• In the midst of the debris, Johnny helps EJ climb out of it. Johnny calls for Marlena, who is struggling to rise. EJ asks where Nicole is. Nicole calls out, but her arm hurts. 
• In an attempt to revive her, EJ rushes to Ava and she lies back on him. Tripp scurries to Ava, who is not breathing. He performs CPR and she recovers.

Celebrates to the fullest extent possible

• Nicole is forced to escape within the church by EJ, Marlena, and Tripp, while Johnny is forced to help carry Ava out despite Tripp's reservations.
• Sarah walks to the nurses' station, where Xander and the staff yell surprise at her. Her birthday is special to Sarah, and she deserves all the celebration she can get.
• After blowing out the candle on the cake, Sarah tells Xander that her wish was that he would forgive her for accusing him of kidnapping.

Reports victims to the police

• In an attempt to reassure her, he assures her he already has. A guilt-ridden Xander then tries telling her the truth, but she runs off to report the victims.
• The bomb was planted in the church when Ava lay in a hospital bed with Tripp by her side. She opened her eyes and embraced him.
• Ava was arrested for five counts of attempted murder after Rafe received a call at the pub. Rafe handcuffed Ava to the bed and arrested her.
• A brooding Eric stands beside him, and EJ holds her in his arms. She assures him she's fine, and he pointedly tells him she will stay with him at home.
