Awful! Sheila's mother dies shortly after meeting David in 90 Day Fiancé!

Only a few hours passed after David arrived in the Philippines from America to spend time with Sheila at her family's house when the tragedy occurred. The romance was, however, short-lived when Sheila's mother fell down the rickety, narrow staircase on the property. The following morning when they awoke, they saw she was not moving.

Sheila was asked whether she and her 12-year-old son Jhonreil would want to stay at David's hotel with him. David is deaf and was traveling with an ASL interpreter. 

Sheila insisted that she had to adhere to the 24-hour visitation period with her mother's body to respect the Filipino burial customs of her family.

Terrible moment!

The incident was "one of the most overwhelming things I've experienced," David acknowledged. Sheila must be going through a terrible moment, I can tell. To process her loss, she needs to spend time with her family.

At the funeral, Sheila and David reconnected after a few days apart. I feel so out of place, David remarked. Sheila has a lot going on. Without a doubt, I don't want to burden her at this time.

Sheila said, "Since my mother passed away, I have been crying day and night." I am psychologically and physically worn out.
