MAMA Awards 2022: BLACKPINK wins the global fans' choice award

A further honour for BLACKPINK! The 2022 MAMA Awards, held on Tuesday, November 29, in Japan at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, saw the girl group and nine other K-pop performers win the international fans' choice top 10 honour.

Despite the girl group's absence, they were recognised with a dance tribute to "Pink Venom" and a special section that aired at the awards ceremony and included their music producer Teddy Park.

The only female group to receive the global fans' choice top 10 honour was BLACKPINK. 

BTS, ENHYPEN, GOT7, NCT DREAM, PSY, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, TREASURE, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER are the other nine acts that won in this category. On the MAMA website, fans cast their votes for the award winners in a series of polls that closed on November 4.

The second day of the 2022 MAMA Awards is planned for November 30. At the show, BLACKPINK is nominated for four additional awards in the best female group, best dance performance female group, song of the year ("Pink Venom"), and artist of the year.
