It is nearly impossible to permanently kill a host

Killing a host permanently is nearly impossible, but Rehoboam extensively erased every last shred of data from Dolores' pearl, implying that the persona Westworld viewers watched evolve over comprising three was surely lost for good.

Obviously, not indefinitely

Evan Rachel Wood returns as "Christina" in Westworld Season 4. Christina is an excruciatingly normal city worker who lives with a close friend, struggles with having dated, and makes a living by writing NPC stories for a gaming company. Christina has no idea she's a host and has no memory of what happened in Westworld seasons 1-3.

For the first time

A citation to Dolores connects Evan Rachel Wood's two Westworld characters. As Westworld season 4 begins to spill its secrets in earnest, Christina's plot tightens.

Westworld season 4's premiere episode

Christina was spit-balling character creator overviews at her desk, dictating an idea that sounds remarkably like Dolores' WestWorld persona - the defenseless but aspiring nation girl living with an "infirm" father - in the premiere episode of Westworld period 4.

Christina's writing hinted that Dolores was clanking around within her head... and Westworld eventually affirms it with "Zhuangzi."

James Marsden's Teddy

Teddy, played by James Marsden, tells Christina to ask herself who she genuinely would be before confessing he's an "old friend" - two hints that Dolores and Christina are the same people.

Back at her desk, Christina searches her system for "Dolores Abernathy." Since this name has been removed from all official records and isn't used by Teddy, the "Dolores" nickname must have popped up from depth inside of Christina.

Fans were divided

When Evan Rachel Wood returned in Westworld season 4, fans were divided as to whether Christina was a reconfigured Dolores or a totally new personality inhabiting Dolores' body.

Christina's remembrances of a "Dolores Abernathy" and her interrelations with Teddy rule out the latter possibility, and Westworld must now describe how Dolores' software is still involved.

It's highly improbable that anything was salvaged

Because it's unlikely anything was stripped from the host site Rehoboam destructed, Christina could be coded using the "Dolores" bits of Charlotte Hale's code. Christina could also be a modern-day version of Dolores' WestWorld base code, which would clarify why she recognizes her wild west farm but nothing else.

Christina's stalker

Peter Myers, Christina's stalker, tried to accuse her of ruining his career by writing a video game story in which he lost it all and decided to jump from a rooftop. As Christina showed up to intellectually sway a group of construction personnel at the disused Hope Center for Mental Health, Westworld did hint Peter was telling the truth.

Westworld season 4, episode 5 unequivocally affirms this hypothesis. Teddy uses two nearby random people as an example of Christina's power to show how she can regulate everybody in the town with a single idea.
