Interesting facts about the RHOSLC cast

On November 11, the program debuted

Bravo announced that they would be adding a brand-new city to the ranks of RHOBH, RHONY, and RHOA, to mention a few, even though the series has become a national sensation. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is the newest installment!

And since then, it has emerged as one of the most talked-about Housewives programs of the year! The entire group is not only delivering it but also modeling what on-screen genuine and true friendships look like. Even though the show has just started, there is a lot to discuss, especially regarding information Bravo fans might not be aware of! So, here are ten things about the RHOSLC cast that you probably didn't know.

The Grandfather Mary Cosby Married

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's most surprising episode this season involves none other than cast member Mary Cosby. The celebrity's marriage to her grandfather, step-grandfather, shocked the audience.

After Mary's grandmother, the Pentecostal Church's founder in Salt Lake City, passed away, she asked that Mary succeed her as a leader, which required her to wed her step-grandfather as well. Cosby admitted that although it wasn't easy to make the change, she has never been happier.

The Most Religiously Diverse Cast

There is one thing that viewers of RHOSLC can be sure of while turning in: a lot of discussion on the cast's beliefs! It should come as no surprise that Mormonism-related themes will be discussed, yet it doesn't seem like everyone in the cast is a Mormon. While Meredith Marks, a jewelry designer, is Jewish, Mary Cosby is a Christian, and Heather Gay and Lisa Barlow identify as "Mormon-ish," respectively.

Five years into her marriage, Jen Shah—a former Mormon—converted to Islam. Whitney Rose, a fan favorite, doesn't now practice any one religion, making this particular ensemble the most religiously diverse of all the "Housewives" franchises.

There are several locales to pick from when it comes to Bravo's The Real Housewives that will satisfy all of your reality TV fantasies!

More Than Just A Housewife, Jen Shah

On the current season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Jen Shah was first presented to the public, and fans are smitten. Jen appears to be a wife and mother, but she is so much more than that! Shah has several properties in New York City, which undoubtedly bring in a good income.

Jen is the owner of three different businesses, JXA Fashion, Shah Beauty, and Shah Lashes, and she also has her line of beauty-related items, demonstrating her skill as an entrepreneur.

Although The Authentic Housewives franchise as a whole is one of the most popular reality TV shows in history, many viewers believe that the casts in places like Beverly Hills or New York City aren't as sincere or "real" as casts who are friends in real life. Fans may enjoy a brand-new model of women who have been friends for years before filming because this is the inaugural season of RHOSLC!

Denise Richards joining RHOBH was a brilliant casting choice, but the actress had never met Lisa Rinna before joining the show. As a result, the drama is not just hot but also much more real than many of the contemporary Bravo productions.

Being Mormon Isn't Everything

When Bravo revealed that Salt Lake City would be their new setting, viewers instantly questioned whether the show would focus on Mormon women. As it turns out, the show doesn't focus as heavily on Mormonism as viewers initially believed. Although Utah has the largest Mormon population in the country, not all of the cast members are Mormon. Thus, their personal lives, businesses, and drama are given more attention than their affiliation.

The Bravo schedule may be new, but The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City isn't new to the Bravo celebrity scene. Because a handful of the "Pump Rules" ladies are close with their fellow Bravo employees, there are rumors that the cast of "Vanderpump Rules" will feature on the forthcoming season of "RHOSLC." Both Katie Maloney and Lala Kent are from Utah, and rumors have it that they visit their home state while the Sundance Film Festival is going on to hang out with the ladies of Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City's LVP is Lisa Barlow

Every franchise has a restaurateur or a bar owner, like Kandi Burruss of RHOA or Bethenny Frankel of RHONY. Well, one individual, in particular, comes to mind when discussing the restaurant and alcohol industries, and that person is none other than Lisa Vanderpump. The Lisa Vanderpump of RHOSLC is Lisa Barlow, who is steadily making her way up to fan-favorite status.

The Salt Lake City cast member Lisa Barlow and the Beverly Hills diva both make their livings from their popular eateries. Barlow is the owner of several liquor brands, and several restaurants spread out over the city, demonstrating that she is not only business-oriented but also adept at managing stress.

Whitney Rose, who has quickly become a fan favorite, drew notice when it was found that she had been excommunicated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Whitney, who is cousins with cast member Heather Gay, was a significant figure in the Mormon community; however, after having an illicit "torrid affair" and divorcing her husband, for now, hubby, Justin Rose, the community shunned Whitney, leaving her completely isolated from her friends and family. All of them are still active Mormon church members.

Heathery Gay Was Previously Mormon Royalty

When it comes to the Mormon culture in Salt Lake City, a few church leaders are known as "Mormon royalty." Heather Gay was supposedly previously married to Bret Engemann, who has roots in the origins of the Mormon faith in Utah.

Heather has discussed her divorce from Bret on the show, which has made her unpopular among her Mormon friends. While Heather is still a Mormon, even though divorce is frowned upon, the actress now claims to be "Mormon-ish" after divorcing her ex.

If you plan on watching RHOSLC, be prepared for the term "hospital" to appear frequently! This has been pivotal in the conflict between Mary Cosby and Jen Shah. Jen caught up with the girls after returning from the hospital where her aunt had a double amputation, leaving Mary Cosby to wonder why it "smells like a hospital."

While this may appear to be a minor issue, Jen was not pleased with Mary's inquiry, resulting in what can only be characterized as World War III, The Real Housewives version!
