Tory was convicted of one felony for a semiautomatic alarm, negligent discharge, and carrying a loaded gun in a vehicle.

Tory pleaded not guilty and still received a 22-year and 8-month prison sentence. The sentencing hearing is still moved to January 27.

The Los Angelos County District's Attorney, George Gascon, has called out Megan for her bravery. It further stated that she showed incredible courage despite the repeated attacks. Megan faced injustice and despicable backlash, and the attorney said no woman should go through what Megan did. She is a living inspiration to people living in LA.

The attorney further stated that Black women usually step back from reporting crimes like assault or sexual violence. Because they are not even trusted. The trial highlights many parts that the system and country can do to make the country safe for every woman.

The attorney extended his thanks to the Jury of the case. Since they were considerate of the situation and deliberately held on to the truth, they spent more hours away from their family during the court case. Hence they helped in giving justice to Ms. Pete.

Pete suffered wounds on her feet. She told the cops about it being from the broken glass at the crime scene. Later she claimed they were from the gunshots.

Pete's surgeon also confirmed that he removed bullet fragments from her feet.
