It is done. According to the news reports confirmation, T.J. Holmes, the anchor of Good Morning America, has filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig. The breakup of the pair comes about a month after he was seen making love to his coworker Amy Robach.

According to records obtained by news sources, Holmes, 45, filed for divorce from his wife in New York City on December 28. He and Robach, 49, were seen together at an Atlanta airport two days prior.

Four weeks after the journalist was seen getting close to Robach on many trips in November, Holmes and Fiebig announced their separation. The couple can be seen holding hands in a car in one picture, which was released by the news reports on November 30. In another, the pair are relaxing with cocktails in a New York City bar. In one image, Holmes can be seen jokingly patting his colleague behind as she packs the car.

A source exclusively revealed to news sources that Robach and Holmes "always had a spark and their work travels away together pulled them even closer," adding that their romance "blossomed from a tight friendship." The pair "had been attempting to keep their relationship a secret until they were ready to reveal," the person stated.

Since being chosen to host GMA3: What You Need to Know in the autumn of 2020, Robach and Holmes have started collaborating. Although neither anchor has officially commented on the images, they were both married at the time the photos made headlines.

Holmes married Fiebig three years after divorcing ex-wife Amy Ferson, with whom he has son Jaiden, age 3, and daughter Brianna, age 28. In January 2013, they welcomed daughter Sabine, and the Arkansas native has regularly waxed poetic about family life over the years.

In a letter published on TheRoot.com in March 2014, Holmes stated, "My family and I are closer, my personal net worth has increased annually since we met, I've picked up a second language, I'm healthier, I don't use the N-word as much, I attend church services on Sundays more, I'm a better friend, I'm more forgiving than I used to be, and I'm more involved in charitable work," the speaker said. "Because I'm married, I'm better off in every aspect. So, for me, the key to a happy marriage has been, "I like who I am with her."

Six years later, while reflecting on his marriage to Fiebig on their tenth anniversary, the CNN correspondent shared identical emotions. "It would be too much to ask her to live another ten years. 10 more months? That might even be stretching it. She should count herself lucky if she granted me an additional 10 weeks. I'd be grateful if she puts up with me for another 10 days, he quipped on Facebook in March 2020. But I should count myself fortunate if she could give me just another 10 minutes of her attention today. hello everyone, this is MARILEE FIEBIG HOLMES. And T. J. Holmes solemnly affirms that she was the #decadechallenge's participant.

Two years after divorcing her first husband Tim McIntosh, with whom she has daughters Ava, 19, and Analise, 16, Robach wed Andrew Shue. The former Melrose Place star's children from his first marriage to Jennifer Hageney, Nate, Aidan, and Wyatt, all adopted the 20/20 co-anchor as their stepmother.
