She continued, requesting that staff members "stop the whispers in the hallways" about the partnership. "These decisions are not simple, they are not knee-jerk, but they are critical for the brand and for our focus, which, you guys know, is all of us — the people here at ABC."

She declared that we couldn't run our business on rumors, supposition, and chitchat. We must continue to concentrate on our work.
