As a result of spending months in a Romanian jail, Andrew Tate has been placed under house arrest. According to the investigation involving human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group, the internet personality, 36, — along with his brother Tristan Tate, two Romanian women, and one Romanian man — were detained in December.

An official for DIICOT, Romania's anti-organized crime agency, told the Associated Press that Andrew sought to challenge a judge's decision last week extending his arrest for 30 days a fourth time. AP reported that none of the four individuals had been officially indicted as of Friday, but they were released from prison and placed under house arrest until April 29.

Tate's communications director Mateea Petrescu told Sky News that their release under house arrest was a good decision since they are neither flight risks nor public hazards. They are thrilled. They have remained optimistic throughout the process and are still under investigation. They are so happy and looking forward to being back home.

The Tate brothers have been investigated

According to the Romanian newspaper Gândul, the Tate brothers have been under investigation since April. A complaint that a woman with American citizenship was being held forcibly at the group's residence led to the investigation. There were several young women found in a building about 500 meters from the Bucharest villa, according to the paper.

Investigators found out about Tristan through social media, and he convinced her to buy a Romanian flight. She contacted her ex-boyfriend, who called the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest and told them about the crime. It has been reported that prosecutors have identified six women as victims since the investigation began.

The decision will prove to be correct

According to the AP, Tristan, 34, told a crowd of journalists on Friday that the judges made the right decision when releasing the individuals. It is a privilege for me to be a part of this team, and I am confident that their decision will be vindicated since I am innocent. Taking to Twitter the following day, Andrew wrote, "4 months without putting on a pair of alligator shoes. It was a struggle.".

According to him, he has been under 24-hour lockdown since last year. No yard time. Pacing around a 3-meter cell without any outside contact or electronics. Absolute clarity of mind. Real thoughts. Real plans. Experiencing pain. I couldn't stand my phone one hour home. Some habits die hard. Shaytan must be defeated.
