Michael Sterling and Eva Marcille divorced after four years of marriage

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling insisted their marriage was irretrievably broken in their divorce documents filed on March 23. Marcille says, "This was the hardest decision I've ever had to make, but life takes you in unexpected directions sometimes," he says exclusively. 

As our family has grown over the past eight and half years, our children remain our top priority. Please respect our privacy at this time." His attorneys wrote that Marcille and her husband live in a bona fide state of separation. As well as Marley Rae Sterling from Marcille's previous relationship with ex Kevin McCall, Sterling also fathers Michael Sterling Jr., 4, and Maverick Sterling, 3.

An equitable division is Marcille's goal

As well as dividing their assets and debt, Marcille wants a fair division of her separate property and Sterling's assets accumulated during their marriage. Marcille had not posted a photo of Sterling on her Instagram profile since earlier this year when she posted a picture of him on a yacht. With a sunflower emoji, she captioned the photo. 

Last Valentine's Day, Sterling shared a photo of him and Marcille. The two laughed and smiled in the snap as she sat on his lap. The beautiful ceremony had Marcille's RHOA co-stars NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, Shamari DeVoe, Tanya Sam, and Marlo Hampton overcome with emotion as well.

Being able to endure hardship

You will be loved unconditionally, unrelentingly, comforted, and forever by me. Sterling said in his vows that he promised future love that could not foresee the unpredictable nature of life but was prepared to endure hardships, pains, and hardships. As Marcille said in her vows, "You give me hope in a world often disappointing. You are my safe place." 

It was a pleasure to be loved by my daughter Marley. You held my truth and my fragility firmly in your hands, and I knew without a doubt that I was meant for you. The bond between us is unbreakable, and we love each other.
