American Idol

Kelly Clarkson came to fame after her appearance on the famous and most loved American talent show American Idol. She was loved and appreciated by the audience of the show for her beautiful voice and talent.

But the American Idol has not stopped herself after the show; rather she is always working for music in order to give her fans musical gifts from time to time.

Recently she has been working on some new music since her divorce from Brandon Blackstock and in a recent interview she also opened up about the challenges of releasing work after the end of her marriage.

A little backstory

Kelly Clarkson had started dating Brandon Blackstock who was the son of her former manager Narvel Blackstock in 2012. Clarkson’s ex-husband was also the stepson of Reba Mcentire.

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock got married back in October 2013, and Blackstock became her manager during their marriage. Their daughter named River Rose was born in June 2014, and their son, Remington Alexander, was born in April 2016.

The couple had filed their divorce back in June 2020 citing “irreconcilable differences.” The American Idol singer then had won primary custody of both children, and the divorce was finalized in August 2021.

Hard

Kelly Clarkson who also is among one of the coaches on The Voice is preparing to release new music, and she recently opened up about the biggest challenge of putting out new songs after her divorce. On the June 29 episode of The Global Chart Show with Brooke Reese, Kelly Clarkson revealed that she does not know how much to share with fans about her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

She said in the interview that it has been the hardest thing for her to navigate in her life and she has never had this difficult work to do. It is that phase of her life where she is going through a huge struggle which is her divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock.

She also said that she has to be completely honest and brutal about it because people are always watching them and their moves and the public eye is keenly involved in it.

Soon

Although she’s taking some time to figure out what she’s comfortable releasing, Kelly Clarkson said fans can expect new music soon. “It’s coming,” the “Breakaway” singer promised. “I just gotta get my crap together.”

After her divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock, a news source reported that Kelly Clarkson was ordered to pay Brandon Blackstock $1.3 million, plus $115,000 in spousal support every month until Jan. 31, 2024. She also pays $45,000 each month in child support for the former couple’s two children.

The Luxurious life

Although she and Blackstock share custody, Kelly Clarkson is the designated primary caregiver according to the law. In Los Angeles, she houses both of her children.

Blackstock was residing in one of the former couple's two Montana homes while paying the American Idol contestant $2,000 per month in rent. Clarkson acquired both of the former couple's properties.

A flying simulator, several cars, and the family pets were all given to the performer. Brandon Blackstock had received the farm animals, horses, various vehicles, and a golf simulator that belonged to the former marriage.
