The Brumadinho dam disaster occurred on 25th January 2019 when the Dam is owned by vale, the same company that was involved in the 2015 Mariana dam disaster. In this dam collapse 270 people died of whom 259 were officially confirmed dead in January 2019, 11 others were reported as missing, whose bodies had not been found.

Mamasapano clash, Maguindanao

A clash in Mamasapano, Maguindanao in the Philippines kills 44 members of Special Action Force (SAF) at least 18 from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and five from the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.

Timeline of Egyptian Revolution

The 2011 Egyptian revolution also known as the 25th January revolution spread across Egypt. Violent clashes between security forces and protesters resulted in at least 846 people being killed over 6000 injured. Protesters retaliated by burning over 90 police stations across the country. It was marked by street demonstrations, rallies, acts of civil disobedience, riots, labor strikes, and violent clashes.

Ethiopian Airlines Flight 409

It was an international commercial flight scheduled from Beirut to Addis Ababa that crashed into the Mediterranean Sea shortly after takeoff from Rafic Hariri International Airport on 25 January 2010, killing all 90 people on board. This was the first fatal crash for Ethiopian Airlines since the hijack of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 in 1996.
