The most visiting zoological park yes! It is the Saint Louis zoo

The Saint Louis Zoo, officially the Saint Louis Zoological Park, is a zoo in Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri.

The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. When you visit the Saint Louis Zoo, you’ll have no shortage of things to see and do. The zoo has 90 acres of animal exhibits, attractions, shopping, and dining for you and your family to enjoy. You can also find zoo activities and programs for people of all ages and abilities.

Home to Animals!!!

It’s a home for 12,000 animals, representing 500 species. One of the few free zoos in the nation, the Saint Louis zoo attracts approximately 3 million visitors annually and is the most-visited attraction in the region. And as a free zoo, visitors are coming back again… and again!

Saint Louis Zoo Mission

The Saint Louis Zoo is recognized worldwide for its innovative approaches to animal care and management, wildlife conservation, research, and education. To conserve animals and their habitats through research, recreation, and educational programs encourages the support and enrich the experience of the public.

Historic Hill, River's Edge, and the Wild 

These are home to some animals and birds. Historic Hill contains Bird House, Bird Garden, Sea Lion Sound, Herpetarium, Chain of Lakes, Flight Cage and Cypress Swamp, and Primate House. River's Edge is home to a variety of animals represented from four continents: North America, South America, Africa, and Asia.  The Wild is home to Grizzly Ridge, Polar Bear Point, Conservation Carousel and Fragile Forest, Jungle of the Apes, and Penguin and Puffin Coast.

Is there any parking zone?

Lakeside Crossing is the center of the zoo, Lakeside Crossing has a variety of food services and shopping destinations and a grassy plaza where visitors can sit and relax. It also features Caribbean Cove, a shallow touch-pool underneath a large pavilion that features cow nose rays, southern stingrays, bonnethead sharks, and bamboo sharks. Open during the warmer months, it is one of the only parts of the zoo requiring an admission price but is free during the first hour the zoo is open.

What is Discovery Corner?

It is home to Emerson Dinoroarus and the Bayer Insectariums, prior to its replacement with Dinoroarus in 2021. The St. Louis Children's Zoo had many educational features, such as the see-through slide through the otter pool and many birds, snakes, frogs, and other animals that volunteers and staff bring out for the kids to see up close. Dinosaurs are one of the only exhibits at the Zoo that requires an admittance fee.

The St. Louis zoo is gearing up for one of its most popular events, Boo at the zoo. Let’s know what it is? Participants are encouraged to wear family-friendly Halloween costumes and make sure you bring your camera. There will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures in front of ghosts, pumpkins, Frankenstein, or mummies.
