Advanced weapons to Ukraine!

The US and its allies have given the Ukrainians artillery systems and some of the advanced weapons for their greatest sophistication. Ukrainian first lady Olena Zelenska asked US lawmakers to send air defense systems to her country.

Armed forces!

Ukrainian officials expressed their public gratitude for the weapons delivered so far. In his video message, President of Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky observed that his armed forces could inflict significant logistical losses on the occupiers. Zelensky and his senior generals delight in the new systems and hope for more advanced ones.

New systems to the battlefield!

It is an electronic war that needs to be jammed to precise targets, long-range artillery with GPS targeting, and enemy chatter that needs to be plucked from the skies. Some of the new systems are introduced on the battlefield, where Ukrainians trains to operate them.

Forces arrival in June!

Ukrainian forces have been using their precision rockets on the battlefield, which led to the destruction of some 20 Russian ammunition depots and command posts that were too far behind enemy lines for earlier artillery. HIMARS systems are limited to most a 50-mile range of attack.

The Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), similar to American weapons, uses the same launch platform, a nearly 200-mile range that has not been released to the Ukraine military.

Transfer of weaponry to Ukraine!

According to Chris Dougherty, a senior fellow for the Defense Program and co-head of the Gaming Lab at the center for New American Security in Washington, fewer than 3000 ATACMS rockets are still in US stockpiles. Next-generation rockets are not due for another year.

Jessica Lewis is in Europe!

Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Jessica Lewis is in Europe for a periodic reassessment visiting Germany. In the advanced weapons transfer center, NATO specialists, plus several from Ukraine, monitor weapons allocations in 40 countries.

Russian submarines!

Some missiles are launched by a Russian submarine in the Black sea, hitting a shopping center, wedding hall, and dancing studio. At least 23 civilians were killed, and 64 were hospitalized, including four children.
