Gayle King defends First Lady Jill Biden

The short-sighted comment 

First Lady Jill Biden often falls into controversies and this time around it's a huge one. This time she has gotten into heat after her short-sighted comment about comparing Hiics to “breakfast tacos”. The Conference the created war  Jill Biden commented on this during the UnidosUS Annual Conference which was held in San Antonio, Texas. 

Despite all the hate that she got on the comment, there were a lot of people who came out in her support, and CBS host Gayle King was one of them. 

Gayle King who came out in support of Jill Biden after her comment said that the community we live in is diverse and it is as distinct as Bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as Blossoms of Miami, and as unique as breakfast tacos of San Antonio while she praised the UnisdosUS President Raul Yzaguirre for his work.

The “CBS Mornings” host Gayle King also left the fans assured that the remarks left after the comment by Jill Biden were not true as that is not who she is.

Not correct 

Gayle King also made sure to convey the fact that the message that Jill wanted to give out did not come out correctly while coming to her defense. 

Gayle King has always had a good profile of the people she hangs out with. King has donated to the Democrats, has spent some vacations with the Obama family, and is also close friends with Oprah Winfrey and Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J. 

The co-host of the show “CBS Mornings” called the controversy to be “incredibly offensive” whereas the reporter Christina Ruffini also called out the comment’s poor timing given the timing of the meeting of President Biden with Mexican President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador which was scheduled for the next day. 

Despite coming out in support, Gayle King has managed to garner more haters than supporters for the support she has shown to Jill. Some people have commented on her going “too easy” on Lady Biden.

Some include Curtis Houck who is the managing director of NewsBusters has called her out for her defensive efforts and also criticized the network for covering the issue very shortly. 

Jill Biden managed to garner some criticisms from many media outlets including the Rolling Stones and from key Republican leaders like Mayra Flores, Sen.Marco Rubio, etc. 

But Jill Biden came out with her apology for her marking comment on Tuesday and showed her love and admiration towards the Latino community.
