Financial guidance that can guide 'false rich' to become 'real rich'
Financial guidance that can guide 'false rich' to become 'real rich'

You probably aren't living the dream life of private jets and mansions, but you might want people to think you are. If you think that poor people are only those who wear torn clothes and live in shacks, you are wrong. Rich people don't feel like they have to show off how rich they are. People who are poor worry more about looking rich than about getting rich. Most of the time, they lack confidence because they don't have enough money.
Mwanandeke Kindembo, a Congolese author, said something that says a lot about the poverty mentality: —“Some people want to be gods while they’re still struggling to be human beings.”
They Won’t Stop Bragging About Money
Bragging about money is often a sign of not having enough money, which is why poor people who pretend to be rich will feel the need to brag about their fake wealth and tell everyone about it. They do too much to make up for their low self-esteem, and they are quick to praise themselves and say that they are better than others. You can see that people who have always had money don't care much about it. People with a lot of money have learned that "their wealth speaks louder than anything they might say out loud." This makes them feel more at ease. They know how to handle their money well and are aware of the responsibilities that come with being wealthy. If you want to get rich, it's not a good idea to brag about it. It's for people who would rather worry about what other people think than focus on making money. Poor people try to keep up with the Joneses by bragging about how much money they have. Behind closed doors, they brag about how successful they are. They don't have to borrow money, but they do. They buy expensive things to show off to people they don't even know or like. You can always tell when a poor person just got some money because of how they talk about it. If you just got rich and can't stop bragging about it, it could be a sign that you haven't had it long enough. On the other hand, people with old money tend not to talk about their money. If they brag about how many zeros are on their bank account, it could mean that they still have a bad attitude even though they are rich.
American poet Chris Jamie said it best— “The biggest challenge after success is shutting up about it.”
The majority of people who boast about their money are, in point of fact, not wealthy at all. They may have a lot of worldly belongings, but they are missing out on the real treasures in life, which include things like love, friendship, health, happiness, and mental serenity.Add Block
Overdress to Impress
It's possible that you believe that looking wealthy is synonymous with being wealthy, but if there's one thing that our parents have taught us, it's that we should never judge a book by its cover. The majority of people will equate wealth and riches with grandeur and extravagance; nevertheless, shrewd wealth shines beyond more than just the surface level. Consider Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft. Despite the fact that he is worth more than the sum total of 95% of the world's population, he is infamous for dressed like a typical office worker. He is recognised for wearing a white collar job uniform. Poor people may dress to impress for a variety of reasons, but it can't be denied that wealthy people aren't afraid to splurge when it comes to enjoying expensive clothing and jewellery. A wealthy person's sense of style will reflect the high level of self-assurance they exude. A low-income individual who pretends to be wealthy often dresses extravagantly as a defence mechanism against their low self-esteem. To make up for the material items they never had before or to win approval from their wealthy peers, and who can blame them for following the rules of a world where material value is often pursued above all else; after all, who can blame them for following the rules of a world where material value is often pursued above all else? People who have come from disadvantaged beginnings are more likely to be impulsive with their money because they haven't had it long enough to become educated about it. This is because they haven't had it long enough to become informed about it. When cash has always been available to you, it's easier to feel comfortable dealing with it. You have an understanding of its long-term value that goes beyond simply delighting in and spending lavishly on a variety of cosmetic and material goods.
They think they need fake
In spite of what was stated previously about how the majority of us were taught not to judge a book by its cover, the unpleasant reality is that in this material world, so many individuals only want to be judged by how they appear on the outside. People with low incomes frequently purchase knockoffs of well-known designers' goods so that they can feel better about themselves and project an image of richness and affluence. Recently, there has been a widespread trend among the wealthy to play down their financial advantages by down-dressing and appearing poorer than they actually are. Take Kanye West's 2022 Yeezy Gap collection, for example. Despite the fact that the collection was purchased primarily by youngsters from wealthy families, the Chicago rapper claims that the designs were directly inspired by people living on the streets. On the other hand, those who are poor appear to behave in the opposite way. They spend beyond their means on things like imitation clothing and jewellery because they are more concerned about how other people see them than how they should be living. They place a high value on status and the affirmation that they receive from other people, mainly because they are unable to live an authentic life due to feelings of inadequacy. They succumb to the allure of short-term gratification and continue to buy low-quality goods rather than making the sacrifices and setting aside the funds necessary to purchase luxury items.
Sterling W. Sill — “Some people lose their souls in order to save their faces.”
People who are poor yet feel the need to mimic being rich are engaging in a game with no chance of winning. If you invest in a few items of great quality rather than many fakes, it is possible that you will not be able to keep up with the most recent trends; nonetheless, doing so will ensure that your integrity is preserved. Remember — “Quality over quantity!”Add Block
They buy things on a whim
You might be able to tell if a poor person is just pretending to be rich by how quickly they spend money when they get it. After getting paid, most people couldn't resist going on a mindless shopping spree up and down Fifth Avenue. Rich or poor, we're all the same. People who live and breathe money don't mind going on a shopping spree once in a while, but when money is no object, you'll find that you just don't do that anymore. Poor people who aren't used to having money in their hands, on the other hand, might find it harder to resist the urge to spend more than they need to in an attempt to look rich. It's possible they're looking for something, anything, to make them happy, or a certain feeling they've always wanted. People who don't have much money often spend it as soon as they get it because they aren't used to it.Add Block
Overcompensate
If a poor person tries too hard to make up for everything, that's a sure sign that they're lying about being rich. People who overcompensate usually do so because they feel like they're not good enough, whether they brag about their supposed successes, put themselves ahead of others, or downplay the successes of their friends and peers. People who grew up poor and haven't gotten out of the poverty mentality may have an inferiority complex. This makes them try to hide their flaws by doing too much. They'll buy expensive bottles of wine at the bar to show off to their rich friends, even though they haven't paid off their credit card bill from last month and might not be able to afford it. They'll worship luxury items and judge others for what they're wearing and the things they don't have because it's a way to distance themselves from a life of poverty. People who can't stop talking about how successful they are and how much money they have may be overcompensating and probably can't put their money where their mouth is. But overcompensating isn't something that only poor people do. Plenty of rich people do it too, because at the end of the day, money can't make us feel better about our problems.
They Spend Excessive Time with Social Media
Social media sites can be very helpful if you know how to use them right, but if you spend all day posting selfies and watching cat videos, you won't have much of a plan for yourself for very long. Rich people are too busy trying to figure out how to invest their money in the real world to waste time scrolling through social media. A quick poll from NASDAQ showed that 17.4% of wealthy people don't have time to use social media very often. Most people who look for external validation on social media are low-income posers and want tobe influencers. This is because they don't have the resources or skills to turn social success into real-world success. Rich people aren't perfect and don't never feel insecure, but most of them are smart enough to know that following, liking, and commenting is a good way to win if you're not trying hard. Rich people don't get rich by spending all day on social media and talking to people they don't really know, unless it's part of a plan to make more money. They don't let random strangers into their lives. Instead, they keep their circles small, which are likely made up of people with similar amounts of money.Add Block
They rent, but do not own anything
Have you ever had a friend who seems to show up every other week in a new car or who moves from one fancy apartment to the next? It could mean that they don't have enough money to buy anything permanent. If someone is poor but acts like they are rich, they won't be able to settle down and make a purchase. They don't think twice about renting expensive cars to fool their friends. They'll show up in expensive clothes and jewellery, but when they get home, they'll find a half-empty closet because, in reality, they never really had anything. There are many reasons why someone might choose to rent instead of buy, but there isn't much of a reason why someone who says they are rich can't make their money talk. People who say they are rich but don't seem to have any assets are probably not as rich as they say they are and are probably renting their expensive lifestyle.Add Block
They enjoy showing off on social media
Remember how we said that rich people would rather not use social media and keep a small group of friends? So it shouldn't be a surprise that poor people who pose above their tax bracket are the first to show off their supposed wealth on social media. They might post pictures of themselves at fancy brunches wearing designer clothes or posing on sports cars that don't belong to them. In reality, these are just small pieces of a made-up story that couldn't be further from the truth. Whether they are rich or poor, people who are sure of themselves don't feel the need to brag about themselves on Instagram. People who are poor but want to look rich may not be sure enough of themselves to stand in their truth. This is probably because they aren't happy with their lives in the real world and would rather show a fantasy-like world of luxury online. In reality, it's a sad attempt to hide what they don't have.
They'd rather have more than better
With a certain amount of money comes a certain level of taste. This taste isn't unique to the wealthy, but those who are truly wealthy are used to the taste of high quality. Rich people will choose quality over quantity when they shop. They know how important it is to spend money on high-quality items that will last for a long time, and they will spend money on unique, custom-made items that get more valuable over time. People who pretend to be rich won't be able to break the habit of buying things because they are useful. Instead of spending money on fewer high-quality items that will last, they end up spending more money in the long run on cheap generic items that need to be replaced all the time. Rich people have a good sense of how much quality is worth. Rich people always have the best things around them. They know it when they see it, and they are quick to put value over quantity. Those who are pretending won't be able to break the bad habit of cutting corners and buying things just because they are easy, and this will cost them more in the long run.
Steve Jobs— “Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.”
They don't want to learn and grow
People living in poverty who put on the appearance of wealth are so preoccupied with trying to portray a life filled with materialism that they are oblivious to the fact that true value may be found in education and the pursuit of knowledge. Education is a cornerstone of knowledge, and wealthy people understand better than anyone else that the pursuit of knowledge is the surest path to financial success. The majority of the world's billionaires have achieved their coveted position by investing in their own education and becoming industry leaders and pioneers in the sectors in which they work. Those who continue to blame their failings on the world around them and those who are able to break out of poverty and sail from rags to riches are typically separated by what is known as a disciplined attitude as well as a drive to progress. The mindset of poverty is something that is taught. It is a family trait. People who have grown up in impoverished conditions frequently lack the education necessary to improve their circumstances and lift themselves out of poverty, and many of them are content to continue living in this state. Unaware that they don't need a grandiose beginning; all they need to do is get started right away. Education is, without a doubt, something that a great many people all around the world place a high value on. You can always tell when a poor person is faking being rich by the way in which they place the importance of money over knowledge. This is true whether or not the person is rich. People who truly understand what it means to be affluent will value their intellectual capacity and capacity for growth more highly than their material possessions. People who are wealthy have no fear of challenging themselves and expanding their sphere of influence.
