Celebrities also have to pay for their sins

A great number of famous people have been taken into custody over the years and some of them have even served time behind bars. These infractions have ranged from accusations of drug use or alcohol consumption to even more severe infractions.

Almost all of the famous people on this list have been freed after their run-ins with the law and, thankfully, have displayed a great deal of contrition. This is true regardless of whether they were found guilty of the charges or not. They have worked hard to improve themselves, and some of them acknowledge that the time they spent in jail was crucial in this process.

Some punishments are not for the sins but still happens with lack of evidences

Many famous people have had worse things happen to them for no reason. Shami Ahmed, Aryan Khan, and Johnny Depp are all examples of stars who didn't go to jail but went through a lot because of the mistakes of others. If they hadn't been able to fight back, fake scenarios could have caused them to suffer much more than they already had.

Amy Locane

After being arrested for a fatal DUI in 2010, "Melrose Place" star Amy Locane has just started serving her second term. Amy was convicted of vehicular homicide and assault and was initially sentenced to three years in prison; however, an appeals court ruled that her original sentence was too lenient and increased it to seven years in prison. Amy claims that her experience in prison the first time definitely prepared her for her experience the second time around; however, she is now concerned about the future of her children.

"I am absolutely aware of what is taking place. When I came in here the previous time, I had no idea what was going on. I wasn't really aware of how things functioned or how one could request certain things from specific officers. She shared her story with EW, saying, "Prison prepared me for my second go-around, and I have a huge fear right now that my kids are going to forget me." It won't be until my youngest turns 16 and my oldest turns 18 before I return home. I can't even begin to contemplate that."

Felicity Huffman

As a consequence of her involvement in the college admissions scandal, Felicity Huffman was sentenced to time spent in jail. It was said that Felicity took part in a plot to cheat on the SATs by paying $15,000 to a service in order to increase her daughter's test scores. This accusation was levelled against Felicity.

"My desperation to be a good mother led me to convince myself that all I was doing was giving my kid a chance to succeed, and I did this by talking to myself. I can understand the humour in that statement today, given that the action that I have taken is exactly the reverse of fair. I have disobeyed the law, I have lied to those in the field of education, I have betrayed my kid, and I have let down my family "In a letter that she submitted to the court, Felicity stated.

Felicity entered a guilty plea to the charges of honest services mail fraud and conspiracy to commit mail fraud, which resulted in a two-week prison sentence for her. She was had to perform 250 hours of community service as a condition of her release during her one year of supervised release, which began after she served a total of 11 days in jail.

"It was a bad thing that happened. I was drunk, mad, and in trouble. I was illegally recorded by a police officer who was not honest, and he never got in trouble for it. Then he made it public for money, and people in what we'll call the press did the same. That's not right. I guess that because of who I am, I can never have a nervous breakdown "Ten years after the event, he told Variety about it.
