Mendes stated

Following a hiatus of many years from performing live, Mendes stated that he "felt like I was ready to plunge back in." In spite of this, he came to the conclusion that "that choice was premature and sadly the toll of the road and the strain has caught up to me." Mendes revealed, "I've reached my limit at this time."

"Following conversations with members of my team and health specialists, I have determined that I need to give myself some time to recuperate and focus on prioritizing both my physical and emotional well-being. Public spotlight

After some time had passed, a source stated that "being in the public spotlight has long put a lot of strain" on the singer. This was believed to have been the case for a lengthy period of time.

Difficulty in finding a balance between taking care of his mental health and working

Despite the challenges that Mendes has faced "finding a balance between taking care of his mental health and working, the source stated that "he is now able to identify triggers that make it necessary for him to slow down and focus on his health."

This was in contrast to what the source had stated previously regarding "finding a balance between working and taking care of his mental health." He intends to devote each and every ounce of his strength and attention to his concert tour and his followers."
