Tesla will expand its auto insurance in some of the other states, Oregon and Virginia.Tesla currently offers insurance in California, Texas and Ohio and Arizona. 

Pilot insurance 

 

Tesla offered its pilot insurance which tracks policyholders and driving behaviour to set the rates. To offer the score for the driver, Tesla onboarded the telematics system in its vehicle.

The states like Texas and California have not yet offered such policy data to their customers Tesla claims the drivers with high safety scores of 20 to 60% on their insurance cost.
