Golden State Warriors Pursue Blockbuster Trade for Sixers; Joel Embiid

Golden State Warriors Pursue Blockbuster Trade for Sixers; Joel Embiid

Lee Tran from Fadeaway World suggested that the Golden State Warriors  should exchange Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney, Gary  Payton II, a first-round pick in 2027, and another first-round pick in 2029

with the Philadelphia 76ers in return for Joel Embiid. Golden State would  have a new group of four important players made up of Embiid, Stephen  Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

“Adding Embiid would make the Warriors offense even better because they  would have another way to score well from close to the basket,” Tran  explained. Throughout their whole time as a team, they have heavily relied  on shooting jump shots. Although using that strategy has resulted in them  winning many championships, it may be beneficial for them to vary their  offense in order to win additional titles and prolong their success.

Thompson was not performing consistently in the 2023 playoffs, especially  when playing against the Los Angeles Lakers. "Adding Joel Embiid to the  team means having another top-level scorer. He can contribute to the  offense and ease some of the burden on Curry. "

Embiid has not asked to leave the Sixers even though James Harden wants  to leave. According to NBA insider Sam Amick, the Sixers think that Embiid  wants to stay with them for his whole career like Dirk Nowitzki did with the

Mavericks and Kobe Bryant did with the Lakers. However, if the Sixers have a hard time next season, it's possible that Embiid might want to leave. In

simpler words: The Sixers have never made it past the second round of the  playoffs while Embiid has been on the team.

At this time, the Philadelphia 76ers are starting to question whether Joel  Embiid can really be their main player. A choice for a team that competes at a high level in a championship. It might be a good idea for the team to swap  him for someone else, considering their situation. James Harden is already looking to go elsewhere, and it's very obvious that the team won't be able  to compete well without him. Right now, Joel Embiid is worth a lot, and if  the team decides to trade him, they could get a big reward in return.

In simple words, the Golden State Warriors would offer Andrew Wiggins,  who is a versatile player, as the main part of their package. Wiggins played  an important role in the team's victory in the 2022 championship. Wiggins is a really good player who can defend the other team's top players and also  contribute to our offense. Another important reason for this agreement is  to gain Jonathan Kuminga, who is a powerful forward and has demonstrated success in a more significant position. Kuminga scores an average of 12. 2  points per game, grabs 4. 6 rebounds per game, and helps with 2. 3 assists  per game when starting for the Warriors. If given a larger role, these  numbers could possibly increase even more.

Kevon Looney and Gary Payton II may not be superstars, but they are  experienced defenders who can contribute to a strong team. The  Philadelphia 76ers might also exchange or sell these players in the future. In addition to the player coming back, the 76ers would also receive two  valuable first-round picks in 2027 and 2029.

In simpler terms, this trade package would help the Philadelphia 76ers begin  a process of improving or rebuilding their team. They could also help Joel  Embiid by sending him to a team that has a good chance of winning.
