• Marlena and John decided to accomplish their new life's goal rather than indulge in strawberries and cream. But how would they do it?
• While John is not excited about cozying up with Kristen again and forcing her to confess, it seems the only way to go. Okay, he will do it. But only for Brady and Doc's sake, so there's romance.

Even though EJ and Nicole have fallen, they are not out. Even though Aunt Sister Mary Moria (Stacy Haiduk) left EJ a nasty voicemail, they plan to remain housemates, blaming him for the recent upheaval for inviting her into his house and to Susan Bank's (Stacy Haiduk) memorial service. Listening to it at least made them laugh.

• Eric and Sloan maintain that their relationship remains uncomplicated even though it appears they are steadily moving in a direction that some might confuse for a relationship.
• After saying that, Eric turns around and invites Sloan to spend the holidays with him and his family! No thanks, Sloan replies, but she would enjoy celebrating the New Year with her friend. Two-part company out of that convo.
• Eric makes his way to Brady and tries to convince him to join a caper in which they would pretend Rachel's kidnapping so Kristen would turn over that precious orchid. Will Brady bite?
