Have you noticed the increasing number of divorces these days? It's like every time you open your social media, a divorce or separation news is waiting for you. It seems like many celebrity couples are going their separate ways these days.
Well, as far as divorce or separation goes, that's a choice. It could be due to many reasons, and the celebrities do not need to state the reason behind their decision to divorce. It's their call, and we don't need to dig into that for whatever reason it might be. We need to dig into or learn from them that divorce is okay. It can be a new start. It can bring happiness into your life again. Let's take a look at the positive sides of divorce and how some celebrities have risen above the stigma around it and have been getting some excellent examples.

Divorce - A trend?

A certain section of our society has perceived divorce as a trend now. After all, whatever the celebrities do becomes a trend, and they feel the need to follow the trend.

But why has it become a trend?

Are you wondering why it has become a trend? Well, that's simply because now people had come to realize that gone are the days when they needed to conform to societal notions of sticking to marriage even if it's falling apart. Now people realize the need to put themselves first and prioritize their happiness and well-being.

Happiness is what matters

Caring about what society will think or say is now a thing of the past. People nowadays care about their mental health and happiness, especially their children.

Unhappy marriage = Unhappy parents

Miserable marriages never produce happy parents. If the individuals are comfortable and have a healthy mindset, they can be satisfied parents, even if they're divorced or separated.

The wonders of co-parenting

There are so many couples practicing healthy relationships nowadays. Many couples opt for co-parenting healthily, even after they've gone their own separate ways. Many celebrity couples like Hrithik Roshan and Sussane Khan, Arjun Rampal, Mehr Jesia, Ranvir Shorey, and Konkona Sen set great examples of co-parenting.

You don't have to sacrifice your happiness to be a good parent

Nowadays, people are doing this to prioritize their own happiness while keeping their children's best interests at heart. You no longer have to sacrifice your happiness to become a good parent. Those days are long gone.

Divorce could be the new start you were waiting for!

Many people think of divorce as a new beginning. A do-over or a fresh start will open up many doors for them. It is just the end of a marriage and is not treated as the end of happiness and love. For example, Farhan Akhtar found love after separating from wife Adhuna. We've all seen how much he's in love with his new partner, Shibani Dandekar. On the other hand, Malaika Arora is setting goals for all the people in their 40s by finding love and happiness with Arjun Kapoor. She's reinstating the fact that it's never too late to be happy in life.

No more hard feelings for your ex

Also, gone are the days when you have bitter feelings for your ex. Nowadays, people have matured enough to realize that you don't need to be on bad terms with your ex-partner. After all, peace and happiness is what matters the most. Many couples are still friends even after breaking up. Let's take, for example, Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap. Their friendship is admired by many. They've continued their healthy and good relationship even after their marriage was over. Also, Amir Khan and Kiran Rao have celebrated festivals together and raised their son together, even after their marriage ended.

Divorce is much more than just a trend

Divorce is not just a trend; it is something more than that. People realize that they don't have to succumb to societal norms that are void of meaning. They realize that ending an unhappy marriage to be happy again is absolutely okay.

Let's end the stigma around it

So, I say bring on the divorces if they make you happy! Let it be the era of realizing that you and your happiness matter and that there's no space for compromises to fit in the society. Everyone understands that if the key to happiness is divorce, it's okay to take that choice. It might turn out to be the best decision you've ever made.
