Kobe Bean Bryant was a professional basketball player in America. Besides this, he was also an entrepreneur, philanthropist and producer. By the time of his death, he earned a net worth of around $600 million. Due to a helicopter crash, he passed away on 26th January 2020. He was a 5X NBA champion, 2X NBA Finals MVP and an 18X NBA All-star.

On 23rd August 1978, Kobe Bryant was born in Pennsylvania of Philadelphia. His father, Joe Bryant, used to be a former player of the Philadelphia 76ers. Kobe was called so as he was given this name after seeing the popular beef Kobe his parents had on the menu card of a restaurant. At 6, Joe retired from the NBA and shifted to Italy with his family to continue performing in the European league.

Kobe learnt Italian fluently. As a pre-teen, during summers, he returned to the US to participate in summer league basketball. When his father retired, the family shifted back to Philadelphia, where he joined 'Lower Merion High School.

Being excelled in Basketball during high school, he led the team to the state tournament in 53 years. He was gradually named as "Gatorade's Men's National Basketball player of the year" and regarded as "the USA Today's All USA first team player". Kobe's SAT score was high, and he is the youngest player in history to enter the NBA.

Professional Career

Kobe received above $328 million in income throughout their NBA career. Aside from this, other prominent NBA agreements include a 3-year of $90 million signed in 2010 and a 2-year of $48.5 million extension signed in 2013. In his final year during the NBA, he gained $25 million. From endorsements, he earned approx. $350 million for his lifetime. So, his net career earnings reach $680 million. 
Nike, Turkish Airlines, Panini, Hublot, Lenovo, McDonald's and Sprite are among the most prominent endorsement deals with Sina.com, Mercedes Benz and Alibaba. Kobe signed with Adidas in starting

Kobe got married in November 1999 to a 17-year-old “Vanessa Laine”. They met together when Vanessa was working in a music video as a background dancer. At the same time, Kobe was in the studio to make his debut musical series. Within six months, they were engaged. Still, the girl was in a senior high school.

Kobe Bryant and Vanessa tied the knot on 18th April 2001 in the Dana Point, California district. His parents refused to attend the marriage as they were against this relationship. On 19th January 2003, they welcomed their first child, named "Natalia Diamante Bryant" and their second child "Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant” on 1st May 2006. They had a total of 4 daughters. The other two are "Bianka” and “Capri”.  

After ten and half years of marriage, Vanessa filed for divorce on 16th December 2011. The duo had no prenup & the settlement for the lady's divorce cost him around $100 to 150 million. In the end, both of them reunited.

Death

In the turn of shocking happenings, Kobe passed away on January 26, 2020, due to a helicopter crash when he was just 41 years old. Other than him, eight people died in the same crash. Gianna, a 13-year-old daughter, was one of them.
