He appeared in the first season of Showtime's Black Monday, a comedy series. He portrayed Bowser in the Netflix original series Teenage Bounty Hunters.

Hardison was born on July 24, 1965, in the neighbourhood of Bedford–Stuyvesant, located in the borough of Brooklyn, New York. Donald McFadden's father is a collector of antiques and fine art. His mother, Bethann Hardison, was a pioneering African-American runway model and an advocate for diversity in the fashion business. He is his father's and mother's only child.

In 1981, "ABC Afterschool Specials" was where Kadeem Hardison played his first role. In the T.V. show "A Different World," he played the role of Dwayne. In 1988, he played the role of Edge in the musical comedy "School Daze." Then, he was in the comedy "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" with famous people like Bernie Casey, Antonio Fargas, and Isaac Haye.
