Ronald Glen Davis was born on January 1st, 1986, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and later became Glen Davis. When he was 15 years old, Shaquille O'Neal's basketball camp was held on the Louisiana State University campus, giving him a look into his basketball-playing future. Shaq once challenged Davis to a friendly wrestling match, and Davis showed his skill by lifting his big opponent and body-slamming him to the floor. The Southeastern Conference coaches named Davis SEC Player of the Year and added him to the first team of the league's all-stars for his second season. He guided the LSU Tigers to their first Final Four participation in 20 years in 2006; however, they lost to UCLA.

In 2007, Davis ignored his senior season at LSU to get into NBA and was later He was late traded to the Boston Celtics. In the same year December game against the Sacramento Kings, Davis started for the Celtics for the first time in the NBA. He contributed to his team's 90-78 victory by scoring 16 points and grabbing nine rebounds. In January 2008, he made a remarkable performance against the Detroit Pistons. The Boston Celtics advanced to the NBA Finals in 2008 and won the championship by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

In 2009 during the Celtic's second season, Davis scored 24 points in a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Celtics made it to the playoffs and the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where they defeated the Orlando Magic 95-94 in Game 4 thanks to Davis' buzzer-beating shot.

Contract with the Celtics

Following the breakthrough victory, Davis signed a $6.5 million two-year contract with the Celtics. More success came during his third season with the organization when the Celtics faced the Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals. Davis, though, suffered a severe concussion in Game 5 after being elbowed in the head by Dwight Howard. He recovered to help the Celtics win Game 6 and move on to the NBA Finals. The club met the Lakers in a championship rematch from 2008, but this time they fell short in seven games.

At the end of 2011, he was taken to the Orlando Magic along with Von Wafer. In April 2012, he scored the highest of 31 points in a loss to the Detroit Pistons. And in 2013, he topped the board with 33 points in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He and the Magic understood over a contract buyout in February 2014. Later, Davis agreed to play with the Los Angeles Clippers. He underwent surgery on his left ankle before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the 2014–15 campaign.

Glen Davis was caught red-handed for possessing 126 grams of marijuana in his suitcase with $92,000 in cash in his Maryland hotel room in February 2018; he was taken into custody on charges of narcotics possession and distribution. Police also discovered a ledger that is typical of a narcotics dealer. The following day, Davis uploaded a video on Instagram of his arrest, in which he is seen eating Popeye's chicken while flying in a luxury plane next to a briefcase stuffed with cash.
