Don was born on March 21, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States born, with four siblings; his father was a teacher, and he wanted Don to carry on the family tradition. Wildman was born in Philadelphia but was raised in Pitman, New Jersey. He attended Westtown Institution, a residential school for Quakers in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Members of the 16th-century Protestant Christian denomination known as Quakers. He received his diploma from Westtown School in 1979. He continued his acting studies at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and the Drama Studio in London, England. At 16, Wildman started working as a waitress at numerous restaurants to augment his money. He claimed afterward that working as a server gave him a lot of life lessons.
