The Best Secret Wars Film in the MCU Is a Young Avengers Tale

Introduction

Avengers: Secret Wars, which will be released by the MCU in 2025, has the Young Avengers as the centerpiece of its best possible plot, which Phase 4 has been laying the groundwork for. When Wanda's kids were brought to the MCU in WandaVision, the Young Avengers scenario was somewhat established.

Wiccan and Speed appear to be Leaving

Since Wiccan and Speed appear to be leaving the MCU in Doctor Strange's Multiverse of Madness, it will be up to the other Young Avengers introduced in Phase 4 to continue the tradition.

Marvel Studio made Several Announcements

At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios made several major announcements that fleshed out the next three years of their storytelling schedule by offering fans a first look at Phases 5 and 6, including the villains, plot, and characters. By accomplishing this, Kevin Feige and his team defined the direction the MCU will take beyond Phase 4. Phases 4-6 will be known as the Multiverse Saga, with Kang the Conqueror serving as the MCU's next Thanos-level danger.

What had been Revealed?

Naturally, it was revealed that the Multiverse Saga would conclude in 2025 before moving on to Phase 7 and whatever plans Marvel Studios undoubtedly have. However, the MCU is releasing not one, but two Avengers movies in 2025 rather than the customary strategy of releasing an Avengers movie each Phase before building up to a climax event like Avengers: Endgame.

No Announcements have been made!

Unfortunately, Kevin Feige and company made no announcements at SDCC 2022 on how or even if the Young Avengers will be included in Phases 5 or 6. Given the emergence of numerous distinct Young Avengers characters throughout Phase 4, this was unexpected. As already established, WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness both introduced Wiccan and Speed.

Next Young Avenger is also known as Eli Bradley

The next Young Avenger, also known as Eli Bradley, was introduced to the MCU in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Patriot just a few months later, in March 2021. Then, in the summer of 2021, Loki was released, introducing Kid Loki as the potential introduction of another Young Avengers member. The most notable Young Avengers character to date in the MCU, however, was first presented in Hawkeye by Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop.

The Young Avengers haven`t been referenced

The Young Avengers haven't been referenced at all in the SDCC 2022 announcements, at least not in their team form or when they would first emerge as a unit in the MCU, despite all of this setup.

Nevertheless, given that Kevin Feige and his numerous teams are preparing for the two Avengers films in 2025, this may very well be on purpose on the part of Marvel Studios.

What did these films represent?

These films may represent the conclusion of the Young Avengers setup from Phases 4 and 5. By using Avengers 5/Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the first of the two movies to be released in 2025, this might take place.

Kang will be the major Antagonist

Kang the Conqueror will be the major antagonist of the Multiverse Saga that the MCU's heroes will have to face in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, as was established in Loki and extended in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
