Tom Cruise Rural Retreat in Colorado

The massive estate owned by Tom Cruise is located in a mountain and offers breathtaking scenery. On the fringes of Telluride, a former Victorian mining town in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, is the 10,000-square-foot property. Floor-to-ceiling windows, timber walls, and a chiminea made of the local stone give the house a rustic feel. To ensure that the Hollywood A-list star has adequate amusement, it also contains a private trail system, ice hockey, tennis, basketball, and a private motocross track.

Tom Cruise's vacation property in Colorado, where he spent time with his kids and ex-wife Katie Holmes, reportedly went on the market in March 2021 for $39.5 million, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.

The house has already been sold for the asking price after only two months. The 320-acre ranch is a remote, rustic paradise surrounded by miles of breathtaking scenery in Telluride, Colorado, a region famous for its world-class alpine skiing and celebrity residents.

Fans of Cruise may be familiar with the retreat because it served as the setting for a second interview with Winfrey after his dramatic appearance on her show in 2005. However, the retreat itself has much more to offer than what was discussed during their sit-down.

A mile-long driveway that is protected by a gated entrance leads to the 10,000-square-foot main house made of cedar and stone and the three-bedroom guest lodge.

The property, which is close to the historic downtown center and offers easy access to forestry paths, is surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas. Eric Lavey and Dan Dockray of LIV Sotheby's International Realty were responsible for selling the house.

According to Lavey, the main agent on the listing, "If you spend any length of time in this unusual estate, you understand that it is genuinely a once-a-generation type of offering—which makes it a bit tough to let that opportunity pass you by." See more information on the large property below.

Nine fireplaces, many libraries, two pools, and a tennis court are all features of the villa. Additionally, she is in the excellent company because Oprah Winfrey is her next-door neighbor.

Despite writing in her 2015 book Home, "I do hope we live here forever," Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi previously sold their prior Santa Barbara home, shown below, for $45 million. This residence affectionately referred to as "The Villa," was inspired by traditional Italian villas from the 17th century.

Following his return from Italy in the 1930s, architect Wallace Frost created the stone residence for himself. Years later, the "combination of grandeur and modesty" captured the heart of renowned architectural designer John Saladino, who began a five-year careful renovation of the home for his use before selling it to the current owners.
