The benefits may be due to the factors that had moderate drinking increases your chance of getting heart disease. In Journal Cardiology, researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Board Institute of MIT and Harvard examined data over 370,000 United Kingdom adults comparing information on their drinking habits and their lifestyle habits.

Observation suggests 

The belief that light alcohol consumption can improve heart health suggests an association between moderate drinking and heart health due to lifestyle factors. Researchers also noted that moderate drinkers tended to exercise more, eat more nutritious foods, and smoke less than those who did not drink at all.

Overconsumption   

If there is an increase in alcohol consumption, that leads to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and certain cancers. A study from 2021 July in the journal The Lancet Oncology linked alcohol consumption with cancers of the esophagus, larynx, colon, throat, liver, rectum, and breast.

Six types of cancer   

Alcohol also increases some cancers such as head, neck, esophageal, and breast cancer, which grow even less than one standard drink per day. Since 1939, most Americans have used alcoholic beverages such as liquor, wine, and beer. The latest 60% who say they drink alcohol is down slightly from 65% in 2019.

 Ok, to drink every day?  

Drinking is considered a moderate or low-risk range for women at no more than three drinks on any one day and no more than seven drinks per week.For men, no more than four drinks a day and no more than 14 drinks per week benefits like lower blood sugar, weight loss, and fewer associated negative consequences like headaches or heartburn. There also had some advantages that include lower blood pressure and reduced cholesterol.
