Paxlovid is a home antiviral therapy developed by Pfizer that was used in emergency cases by the U.S Food and Drug Administration. Paxlovid reduces the risk of hospitalization and death for high-risk patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms by nearly 90%. It can be prescribed for those aged 12 and older with a higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.

Current medications!
Patients who tested positive for COVID want to determine their eligibility to take Paxlovid, which can bring a list of current medications and health records detailing kidney or liver problems based on pharmacist review. Patients with reduced kidney function may require only a low dosage of Paxlovid.
The production of the generic version helps citizens in 95 low, and middle-income counties access an affordable version of the Pfizer COVID-19 treatment pills. Paxlovid is not meant to be taken as a prophylactic after exposure to COVID-19 or if patients are already hospitalized.
