An issue on drug's prescription

The labels of prescription medicines are supposed to give patients accurate information about the contents of the drug. But sometimes, this does not happen. Discover what you should do if you have any affected medications at home after the latest drug recall due to multiple medications that didn't meet specifications.

Olympia Pharmacy finds the duplicate specification

Seven drugs found out of specification are being voluntarily recalled by Olympia Pharmacy, and 11 specific lots of Trimix Formulas F-9, T-105, SB-4, Sermorelin, Sincalide, Hydroxocobalamin, and NAD compounded injectables have already been recalled.

FDA announces a recall on this day

Olympia recalled compounding products found to be outside of specification on March 10, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published the recall notice on the same day. This medication could cause adverse effects, reasonably likely. A lack of vitamin B12 in infants, pregnant or nursing women, and older adults is one of the risks of administering hydroxocobalamin that is not strong enough.

Drugs may cause this type of disease

Psychiatric disorders, including depression and memory loss, are possible adverse events, in addition to muscle weakness, neuropathic numbness or pain, vision loss, and other neurological problems. A compounded injectable product with a strength different from the label or reconstitutes at a different rate than expected may result in an overdose of medication. As a result, a treatment could be less effective or have unexpected side effects.
