As powerful as a tune can be between loads of laundry, the singer shared a short but powerful Cappella version of her breakout hit "Baby One More Time." The 40-year-old shared the video with her 41.8 million Instagram followers. In the caption, she wrote, "This is me yesterday doing laundry and separating clothes." In my home, I'm singing a different version of Baby for the first time in a long time.

It comes eight months after Spears was released from a 13-year conservatorship that captured millions' attention. She also revealed her fight to have an alternate version of the track, which has a rather iconic history, which she was unable to do under intense creative and personal constraints.

She details her struggle to have her idea for a revival of the song realized artistically in a passionate statement alongside the footage. Sadly, the ordeal ruined her pursuit, she said. "My dream for 14 years has been to have the producers put my version together a start but sadly, the TEAM said no, and they served me with 4 girls, including my sister, performing to a T a 5-minute version of four remixed songs and the sound was NEW!!!! They ruined it for me, embarrassed me, and made me feel like nothing

The pop star's debut album of the same name includes the lead single "Baby One More Time.". The catchy tune and its pop culture-making video launched Spears to stardom. As the '90s and early aughts music make a comeback and find a new generation of fans, Britney returns to her hit. A publishing deal worth $15 million was announced earlier this year for the performer's upcoming memoir, which will allow her to use her voice further.
