The Irish Singer, Sinéad O’ Connor, has passed away at the age of 56, as announced by her family. Her family revealed a statement, saying that it was with huge sadness that we introduced the passing of our loved Sinéad. Her friends and family are shocked and requested privacy at this very hard time. 

The acclaimed Dublin musician announced ten studio albums when her song, Nothing Compares 2, You, was introduced at number one world in 1990 single through Billboards Music Awards. Sinéad’s version of the ballad written by singer Prince topped the charts worldwide and gained huge fame of her three Grammy nominations.

An accompanying musical video directed by an English Filmmaker, John Maybury, included a close-up face of O’Connor since she revised the lyrics and became popular by recording songs. In 1991, Sinéad O’ Connor was named the ‘Artist of the Year’ by ‘Rolling Stone Magazine’ for her song’s success. 

Earlier this year, she was presented with the ‘inaugural award’ for ‘Classic Irish Album’ at the ‘RTE Choice Musical Award.’ The Dublin singer got a ‘standing ovation’ since she devoted the award for an album called ‘I do not want what I Haven’t Got’ to ‘every participant of the refugee community of Ireland.’

The President, Michael D Higgins, pays tribute to Sinéad O’Connor, saying that the first reaction to listening to Sinéad’s loss was triggering to remind her extraordinary unique, beautiful voice. He added, ‘To those of us who’d the honor to know her, one could not be struck into the depth of her courageous commitment to vital issues that she brought to the public attention.’ 

‘Ireland has lost such the most gifted and greatest composers, performers, and songwriters at a fairly young age. She had an extraordinary connection and unique talent with the audience. May her spirit get the peace she requires in various manners’, Higgins said further.

He said that her music was treasured around the country and her talent was priceless and beyond compare. Condolences to her friends, family, and those who liked her sensational music. Tanaiste Micheal Martin was ‘devastated’ to hear about her demise. 

He said, ‘Our biggest musical icons and someone treasured by the people of Ireland and beyond that. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, children, and everyone who loved and knew her very well. Martin feels ‘So Sorry’ that the ‘hugely talented’ Sinéad O’ Connor has passed away. Her innate musicality and unique voice were incredibly special.
