RHOA: Kandi admits she does not have a good relationship with NeNe

Kandi Burruss acknowledges that she and NeNe Leakes do not have a good relationship, adding that she does not know what the future holds for them. Kandi Burruss admitted she has a strained relationship with former Real Housewives of Atlanta housewife NeNe Leakes. In season 2, Kandi came to RHOA with an open mind and was eager to get to know each cast member. Kandi became close to Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and they developed a close relationship, which NeNe took issue with. Kandi and NeNe's relationship did not start off well, since NeNe disapproved of Kandi's relationship with Kim.

As time progressed, the two were able to develop a cordial friendship but were never exceptionally close. Kandi accuses NeNe of referring to her as a racial slur, straining their friendship. Though their friendship broke down, Kandi said she would not mind having NeNe back on the show because she thought NeNe had a great personality for television. The relationship allegedly deteriorated after Kandi said she disagreed with NeNe's discrimination lawsuit against Andy Cohen, Bravo, and other supporting networks. Kandi recently confessed to ET at the BET Awards that she has not reached out to NeNe because their relationship is not good. "We don't talk. We don't have a good relationship like that," Kandi said. She clarified that she is not closing the door to a friendship with the former RHOA star, but for now, they are not in the right place.

"I don't know what the future holds, but as of right now, my relationship with Kandi is not good, so we don't communicate," she said. As a way of emphasizing her point, she added, "You never know what's going to happen. But as of now, we're not on the same page."In an interview with ET, NeNe said she has not heard from any of her former cast members or Andy about the lawsuit. NeNe, however, cited Nyonisela Sioh as a great support system for her. Kandi spoke openly about what it's like to be her authentic self on the red carpet at the BET Awards. In her words, "I always feel that if I'm always being my true, authentic self, there's nothing for you to out or drag or anything. I'm always me no matter what."

Though The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star is not on the same page as NeNe, she remains close to fellow former housewives Eva Marcille, Porsha Williams, and Cynthia Bailey. Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield, who hold peaches alongside Kandi, cannot say the same. Based on recent Twitter feuds, it is safe to say that Kandi's friendship with Marlo and Sheree has been severely tested since the release of RHOA season 14. However, based on previous seasons of the show and what has been released thus far from RHOA season 14, the three may be able to make amends.
