'My son's gonna read that,' Chris Pratt admits after backlash over 'healthy daughter' remark

In his July/August 2022 Men's Health cover story, Chris Pratt addressed the controversy surrounding his compliment to his "healthy" daughter Layla in November 2021. He remembered saying, "Find someone who looks at you the way my wife does," than giving her a slap and saying, "But I love you. My wife gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter." Following his tweet, fans claimed that he was mocking his ex-wife since their premature 9-year-old son Jack was born. As he explained to the magazine, Pratt said: "That's f***ed up. My son's gonna read that one day. It's etched in digital stone.

It really bothered me." Pratt then called his "blessings" like a celebrity "a real burden" for his friends and family. Layla, 1 month, and Eloise, 1 month, are his daughters with Schwarzenegger, 32. According to Pratt, "if you feel down today maybe get exercise and maybe listen to some good worship music or get the word in because it really helped me this morning," in reference to his "emotional" morning run last year. The 'Jurassic World' actor joked to Men's Health that his publicist would be "sweating" about his comments because he had never directly addressed the controversy.

Jack "doesn't know that yet," Pratt said, adding that the response on Twitter is not "real." Faris gave birth to the baby seven weeks ahead of schedule in August 2012. A month before going home, Jack spent a month in the NICU."We had doctor's appointments, five surgeries, physical therapy, and a lot of laughter during the first nine months," Faris, who divorced Pratt in August 2017, told People in May 2021. To benefit their six-year-old son Jack, Pratt and Faris agreed to continue living close to one another despite their divorce settlement.

Some were still hopeful that they would reconcile a year after their breakup, as they were photographed walking together. Three months after their divorce was finalized, Pratt began dating Katherine Schwarzenegger, the daughter of former governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Shortly after courting, Pratt and Schwarzenegger became engaged. On June 8, 2019, they were married in Montecito, California. Anna Farris was also married to director Michael Barrett. In 2021, the couple wed secretly in a courthouse in Washington State.
